  1. Can i ask what you mean as that sentence doesn't make sense?
  2. Thats the difference, i've been in shorts and a t shirt this entire winter, only a fleece on now and again. There hasn't been a Winter, just had the 2nd mildest February in 300 years, wet yes but record breaking nearly temp wise. You are certainly missing something if you feel this Winter has been cold in my opinion., it hasn't.
  3. cheeky_monkey To old now and to much responsibility, its not that easy
  4. cheeky_monkey Try doing my job in the Summer months. You would see where i'm coming from.
  5. Can feel my mood darken already, totally unnecessary as the outlook is still fairly positive, normalish Spring weather on offer, but the worst 6 months of the year are approaching fast October can't come fast enough now. Health both physical and mental will suffer. If i could hibernate i would and avoid the next 20 plus weeks with pleasure. And let us be honest we haven't had a Winter have we? My favourite season is a non event....again.
  6. Totally agree....oh well, hope you can get the hang of it in the not to distant future...
  7. I rest my case, the chase is still on, i'll be trans Pennie friday for work, snow will be a feature, its never over, just like those seeking heat, you chase that rainbow. Nothing to do with the mods is it?
  8. Just a week of Winter weather this year would have been nice, alas nothing but the odd day and poor days at that, looks like my favourite season is now defunked in the UK. Just praying now for a cold spring, but knowing my luck that won't happen though.
  9. baddie Fingers crossed this forecast is as accurate as usual from the METO.....looking forward to the sub zero temps and snow then!
  10. I doubt that many in the Winter sport/leisure industry would agree. Cost them millions.
  11. And that is because they not are Island nation in the Atlantic! They are geared up fiscally to operate in snow and ice every year we are not for obvious reasons. Try living in a Norwegian house in temps over 30c, its not good, they aren't designed for heat. Of course we are going to get more rain now, we are surrounded by a massive heating volume of water. Those who had this idea we would have a hot Southern France or Northern Spanish climate are wrong, very wrong.
  12. SunnyG But its still a chase, so why and i hark back to your original post, why get mods involved? Each chase is different, yours is for heat but i get that, everyone has their own preference though.
  13. East Lancs Rain Sorry mate you've lost me totally. At the time i posted that was the situation. I haven't honestly a scoobydoo what your on about? Point i was making was IF we had a dry autumn and winter. Its the IF bit you seem to have missed mate, sorry
  14. But you allude to the fact there is still a probability though....or March 2018 was a lovely dream then?
  15. Just like they do in late August for those seeking heat then......
  16. Metwatch Sorry disagree totally, i've seen the state of the land, so much arable is will be implantable. Vineyards are a irrelevance to be honest, crop production will be. We need frost just as much as dry weather in February, your quoting April, why? I'm referring to now and next 6 weeks
  17. Its the land i'm talking about!! It needs the frost desperately with dry weather. Its nothing to do with drying up the land its the braking up of the soil that frost does that will be needed.Drying will only make the issue worse without frost
  18. East Lancs Rain We certainly need a Beast from the East. Its not looking good, i do over a thousand miles a week and the state of the ground is shocking everywhere, mild weather is the last thing we need, frost is needed and dry conditions
  19. We need the cold desperately, ask any arable farmer, the water logged fields need a good freeze to help with the breaking up of the clag most are faced with, dry yes needed but not mild. Nature also needs the reset of the weather, this mild Winter is detrimental, not a positive.
  20. Desperately need this colder air now, this vile mild crap has hung around far to long, fingers crossed this change in patterns lasts long into March, we need it!!
  21. WYorksWeather For me sadly not even remotely cool let alone cold...but i am at the extreme end regarding cold tolerance i must admit!
  22. WYorksWeather I beg to differ...perfect tshirt and shorts weather!
  23. SunSean I travel a lot and i mean a lot, one thing that is standing out by a country mile now is the waterlogged countryside, fields just can't take any more and i mean any. We need a dry spell now desperately , farmers are going to be in big trouble if not.
