Only thing missing right at the end was the Eastenders theme tune lol. Very April shower like today, temperatures to match.Had to go to North Walsham in Norfolk today and intercepted a squall line on the way
It was quick but pretty reasonable..

Warm if not hot is great if only it only coincided with fresh cool nights. Now that would be good. Storm chance may well drop a bit so scrub that! Past few days have been good, even after the storms the sun and warmth came back. Not a fortnight of cold wet grey or horrible rubbish which we have seen before? almost as if it was pay back for three hot days and a storm.

More thunder lightning and local downpours today, hardly a whiff compared to Friday night into Saturday. Although some have still missed out sadly, I feel your pain, look how stormy the past week has been and considering a very thunder free Springtime.

I may be missing something but why has a level 3 been issued for Germany, it doesn't look that severe?
Ring them up and find out lol :-)

Thoroughly enjoyable storm yesterday into this very early morning. No side swiper for a change. Sunday pm may prove quite lively still, not the frequent lightning or big hail stuff, odd loud clap and bright flash for some and local torrential rain. Otherwise quite pleasant in any sunny intervals as humidity remains lower than more recently.

A couple of hours worth that really delivered at times, great to see multiple strikes and subsequent loud crackling and booming thunder. Monsoonal rains too. That cleared out the gutters a bit lol. Great storms far better than i'd generally expected and oh flip look at the time!

Why you looking there? It'll be over here within a few hours. If it's not already. If we can just work out where this little lost storm we're hearing is!
Night is still young? Was a good one though, more thundery downpours possible tomorrow. All heading west to east as things become slightly more mobile again.
Great storms all in all, several hours worth in fact, lovely stuff.

What I really liked about these storms was how as if someone was playing with the volume and light frequency? Suddenly it would go manic with a big increase in noise, slightly peter out then whoosh again! Full on bad boys.
Glad that forecasts rang true, although unlucky if you missed out, I think we've all been there plenty of times. Cooler now fresh breeze still stirring the air, humidity vanishing quickly. What a night.

Looks like that's it. Ears still ringing from that very loud thunder, close multi forked lightning but surprisingly little hail...LOL. Moan? No chance. Flipping awesome.

Wow...check the UK lightning count !? That is rare. Thunder still echoing around constant flickers oh more alarms lol. Massive area of storms.

Just need the storms over South Wales to become a bit more widespread and supercellular in nature. Hold strong and head NE.

That cleared the air a bit! Amazing storm in fact there were several, anyone due just north of these best watch out. They just creep upon you and go ballistic. What's that stuff coming out of South Wales?

Can anyone actually remember seeing such a widespread area of storms hitting the UK? Still ongoing for sure big time.

As ever predicting a possible thunderstorms arrival, location, duration and of course intensity looms for the next few hours and on. My guess this time tomorrow we'll be far better informed. Trust me. Nowcasting and storms are name of the game if you're prepared to be sensible or realistic about things.
