At last, rain in Lowestoft has turned to snow, it's heavy and settling here in Carlton colville
-
Get the feeling it's going to be fun defrosting car tomorrow morning, already down to -1.2 here on the coast. No fog yet though
-
Temp reading 3.2 but we have snow fall
-
My weather station reads -0.1 cars are nice and white. Is it likely to last night and car scrape in morning or are we likely to see a rise in temp enough to not need the car scrape in the morning
-
Temprature dropping off nicely now, even here on the coast. Last hour its dropped from 2.6 to 1.1 going to be chilly night
-
Can confirm Lowestoft has had great thunder, will try and get some photos of lightning. Been one of the better evenings storms. Local roads are flooded, just driven home from Lowestoft
-
Rain and distant rumbles just south of Lowestoft. Nothing special
-
Now having a impressive thunder storm Lowestoft area, couple of really good rumbles, real house shakers
-
Tempratue dropped to -10 last night in kessingland, amazing as I am so close to the coast, current reading is -2.8 amazing run of cold days and nights
-
Just kicked off, so let's see where it takes us.
Looking good, temperature dropping fast now down to -2.1 that's another 0.4 drop in 6 min
-
Nice heavy snow now, temperature has also dropped from -1.0 to -1.7 in 30 min
-
Lowestoft snow shield at full strength and holding
I fear at the moment the Lowestoft snow shield is extending as for south as kessingland. Temp is now -1.0. That's 0.6 warmer than it was 2 hours ago
-
Can confirm very light snow now, been going for about 20min. Temperature is 1.2 c and cars have a dusting. Is this just localised to the east coast ?
-
I'm to far East to catch the Wash streamer, looks like they should get a good dusting from it, getting fairly well inland to looking at the radar
-
Current temperature is 1.3c and snow turned back to sleet/rain. Not settled, just slush on the bin lids. If it freezes tonight it's going to be very slippery tomorrow morning
-
It's currently 1.3c and snow/sleet/rain, it's not going to settle but nice to see out the window, did not expect to see it today
-
Looks like the MO have downgraded the risk to Norfolk and Suffolk, no yellow warning any more
-
Looks like My plan of going to bed as there was just a dusting last night did not work. Woke up this morning and there is still just a dusting here on the North Suffolk coast. Knowing my luck now it will turn to rain.
-
Ok I dont know what is up with my luck here in Lowestoft but we still only have the dusting from hours ago. Temp has now gone from -1.6 two hours ago to 0 now. If you want snow keep away from the North Suffolk Coast.
-
Snow just gets heavier here as seen by the radars bright echoes, PLEASE let this continue all night.
Send some of it up the coast to Lowestoft, still just a dusting here and no more than a odd 2/3 min light snow shower. Temp here is sitting at -0.4 that is sea level give or take a few meters and right on the coast.
-
Now that the dark has set in wind has picked up and We have a dusting of snow here on the coast. Temp is reading -0.4 has gone up a little from the -0.9 just under an hour ago. I hope this is going to be good for me here, dont normally fair to well been right on the coast.
-
Heavy rain and rumbles of thunder in Lowestoft now. Not as good as last night
-
Bit unexpected weather for me now.
At 10.30pm started to rain heavy and odd lightning, about 2 flashes a min. Lasted for about 20 min. Continuing to rain but no lightning now.
-
Snow showers on and off now for 4 hours, Nothing has settled
