Are those showers around Irish Sea and Cheshire gap intensifying and heading further inland? Hope so.

-2 start. Bright sun though with lots of frost. No snow or any sign of so expecting a dry but cold week.

GFS 0z and 6z comparison at t156
ECM 0z
That low pressure right over the UK appearing on the 6z GFS. Followed by another low to the north a couple of days later. ECM for roughly same period does not feature the same (to my untrained eye!), Yet UKMO has low pressure but later time wise.
Seems after end of this week still some detail to be resolved.

I hate news articles like that. Get them all the time on Leicestershirelive. "MET OFFICE PREDICTS SNOW BOMB TO ARRIVE NEXT WEEK" and nothing happens
Click bait - over the summer it was EXACT location of heat waves or EXACT location of heavy rain. What even is a snow bomb?

Friday 19th from GFS 6z, ECM, UKM)
After a week of much colder temps, worth following this evolution for newbs like me. Surely cannot be a straight flip to milder surface conditions, no?
Oh, and maybe we should allow people to post and have a view of model output no matter how experienced without fear of 'told you so' posts a few days later.

Heads into Mod thread, read the first few recent posts ‘oh what now’?? ‘ Not going to read the rest, what am I missing? Downgrade? 8c all next week? Rain?
seriously.

For all the doom and gloom, it’s only one run. The overall theme remains if considering Monday thru to Friday…gets colder. 0z UKMO for Thursday looks quite a set up!
but it’s still just one run…
GFS - no comment, leave that one to more learned posters

Absolutely…for laughs it is at this stage… best way to treat it some people take it all it all far too seriously….come Sunday or even Monday…then if all snowy delights are still on show… then YES Bring it on
And same time frame this morning - gone from GFS (as it would!). Still a long way out but a cold trend remains. Cold one ahead!

Wow, overall trend is good for cold after 14th, some outputs keeping it that way for over a week. Mod thread getting a bit hectic now
