Pretty intense band of hail and snizzle just passing over now.

Yep, nearly all of our covering has thawed now. Id rather it do that that linger about as brown slush for the next week.

Crazy isn't it? Pretty heavy too, we've got a light covering already. I was up the tower in work this morning (about 200m asl) and looking out over the region it really put in to perspective how sporadic and localised these showers have been today. Hopefully there's a bit more substance to this band though.

I had resigned myself to a night of rain, now snow!

Seems to be getting a tad heavier, flakes seem to be getting larger aswell. Not holding out much hope though.
