  1. Thank goodness it's not just me. I have often wondered this too. I can't remember what the weather was like last year let alone December 1981. Me neither, there are a couple of posters I follow because they are local and know their onions like Bluearmy and Tim Bland, then those that are knowledgeable and don't just put imby posts like Nick Sussex, TEITS or John Holmes. A lot of posters I skip because I don't understand their very indepth and knowledgeable posts because I'm too thick to understand, (although I'm learning from some of Eagle Eye's posts) and some just posts just make me roll my eyes and I quickly skim past. My best temp in the summer is 23c, I can tolerate up to 25c if I'm not working. Once we hit 30c I'm really struggling. Last year's 40c was horrendous, I would rather rain than temps like that because I couldn't go outside in it anyway.
  2. You are not far from my work colleague who's at Les Menuires. She also says there's enough snow, but yesterday was an extremely hard day's skiing, so I expect that's the change in temp as you mention above.
  3. Aww, their wee little white bottoms bounding away. That must have been quite a sight having them run alongside you.
  4. but... but... I thought it was all over and there wasn't a chance until 2025 or something.
  5. Moderate rain falling with plenty more to come from the southwest. Temperature has dropped a little from earlier. It's at 9.4c now. Not gonna snow then at those temperatures. If only it was 10c colder.
  6. That's it, all settled for Christmas. I wish all on here the Christmas you enjoy, whether busy, quiet or full on mental. Hoping the New Year brings improvements in all areas of your lives. Enjoy the break, everyone.
  7. Not a clue. Mild and wet beginning and of month with a cold bit in the middle is my guess. 2.9c and 64mm of rain
  8. Lol, visitors have gone here too, and heating has gone back on.
  9. 20.4c in the lounge. But have had the heating on since 9am. Will be turning it off soon as we have visitors and that is enough to keep the house warm.
  10. @LetItSnow! roll on October then. I like your little AI predictions though. Let hope it's not so on target as it was this year.
  11. 21.7c in the lounge here. Heating turned back on for half an hour to see us through the rest of the evening.
  12. I'm not sure if he's referring to the scenery or the desperation and need to survive here. Possibly the latter, lol.
  13. My small garden registered -6.7c this morning. But car temp showed -8c and stayed that way all the way to Ware. Rose to -7c on the way home and was -6c by the time I was back in Stevenage. Garden temp now -3.6c and rising rapidly, but the garden is small and the sun is now on it, so I imagine it's a lot lower than that.
  14. Car noted -8c in Stevenage and stayed that way on my drive to Ware. Rose to -7c on my way home and was -6c by the time I was back in Stevenage.
  15. Woke up to a new low inside the house today. 17.9c Heating has been on for 45 mins and we're up to 18.6c but I'm still freezing. I don't know how you guys cope with those low figures. Outside it's -6.6c brrrrrrr
  16. Lovely stuff. 21.5c to 22.5c is my sweet spot when relaxing in the evening.
