£50 of my hypothetical money says upstream in the jet it doesn't develop in that round dartboard shape but flatter and moves somewhat further north west, still be windy though...something of interest in this rubbish winter,

For the Beeb to mention it , would suggest there is a possibility

Never been in there. You won’t catch me watching football matches at white heart lane either! #loyalmember

You've never been to WHL to watch the boys ?? Surely your not a plastic fan

Nothing wrong with TWO , it seems on both sides tonight ………...silly heads have been out in force

No one knows Tim. Many have mused that the westerly QBO lower down in the strat has interfered or that this SSW is a slow burner type DSW.  unless Exeter lose their enthusiasm in the 30 dayer, I would stay optimistic

I agree , the one thing is the MO have been constant , they are probably thinking its not if its when , and its taken a tad longer...…….I hope that's right anyhow

We haven’t had today’s update yet but yesterday showed increased speed of the MJO into phase 7.

On iPad so can’t unfortunately link or still haven’t worked out how to ! but if you just type in NCEP MJO into your search you should be able to find it.

    Well into Phase 7 now

Trending away from significant snow in the North now, but could be quite a white out for places like Oxford, Milton Keynes and St Albans - i would be getting very excited if i lived there.

I've had these expectations before and missed the bloody lot lol

You all might wanna catch the BBC 21:55 forecast ….the word 'MEH' comes to mind.

    Just to put some perspective

They didn't have a clue it was quite clear - white blobs over England and Wales , I don't think I can recall so much uncertainty at such a short time period , she also said about the LP at the end of the week, we don't where the air will be coming from - some will have rain but some will have snow

Just going by the amount of precipitation you would expect to fall from a low of that depth I expect more snow than being shown on those depth charts. IMO 10cm around the sweet spot and widely 6-10cm around it. More snow is showing than expected for Thursday though

Probably a fair assessment , people expecting " carnage"  wont get it from Tuesday's feature
