  1. I would love to go on a European chase, that would be amazing!!! Went on a mini chase today, started down in Cheltenham and stayed just ahead...ish of the storm until it reached Nuneaton, actually saw some lovely lightning then got hammered by hail (great day)
  2. Belgium vs Tunisia hailstones... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPmmQ2-WXP0
  3. It sucks being an island sometimes... would of been awesome to have chased that storm!!! The lightning must be absolutely stunning.
  4. Not the best cam but it's a live one from Bruges. http://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/belgique/flandres/bruges/markt.html
  5. That cell heading towards Bruges is going insane...! wish for one like that "one day" http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en
  6. Left the house at 5:45am with a decent storm approaching Worcester, headed north to get ahead of the storm in the hope to get some video and photos but sadly the storm fizzled out...... 356 miles later im sat in the services on the M42. Saw some beautiful cloud formations while on rout from Manchester to Huddersfield. Well it's back to Worcester I think now and then Kansas next year for a realisation of a lifetime dream (I hope) One last note "how many roadworks are there on the motorways...., omg!" :-)
  7. Alarm set for 5am... maybe mother nature might wake me with a nice crack of thunder! Might head up to Leicester in the morning and wait to see what develops.
  8. Very true, think i'm going to keep watching up until 5 or 6am, i still have a strong feeling the Nottingham area north looks good around late morning, however i could be totally wrong. Well the car is fuelled up and camera equipment on charge so fingers crossed for everyone.
  9. 18.4c and rising humidity here in Worcester... Just managed to get the car fixed today so i feel a storm chase is needed, just trying to figure out the best location.... hummm where to go i wonder.
  10. Thank you for your very kind welcome, i'm in no way a professional meteorologist but i do have a good eye for things and at the moment i can tell you it's damp out there and it's lovely drizzle :-) However the skies are brightening up quite quick now so hopefully once this low cloud breaks up i will be able to see the structure of any inbound storms. Current temperature is: 13.7°c Wind speed: 3.4mph Pressure: 1005.8 and steady Humidity:97% Just a quick question, how do i load photos / image files onto the forum?
  11. Well i think it's time to say a big HELLO to everyone, i'm totally new on here but been a lover of all thing weather for as long as i can remember and been following the fascinating posts on here for a few months, some amazing information on here so keep up the fab work guys. Well today is really a wet one here, so far this morning in Worcester my weather station has recorded 17mm of rain, nothing extreme just constant light to medium precipitation, looks like were on the back edge of the current system now, then we have a clear slot coming through, just looking at the cells developing near Hastings and over the Channel, the electrical activity really does seem to be kicking in now, on there current path we might just get something here in Worcester in 3 or 4 hours time, well fingers crossed anyway. Anyway i think it's eyes to the skies and another hi to everyone.
