  1. Windy and wet, but didn't feel overly cold. Some surface water on the grass now and puddles. Just over the road from us (we are on a slight slope, but it's still a fair way away) is the River Ouse so i expect the land around there is flooding a bit now.
  2. During the 'beast' it showed me under Green for some of it but it was snow.
  3. Didn't actually feel quite as cold today. Saw some places in Ireland and Okehampton have got some snow.
  4. He's still alive, be it quite old now.
  5. I bit like vegetarians eating eggs, which is a unborn chick that never got the chance to live. Poor chick, having it's egg cracked open so you can have your cake or morning scrambled eggs, or cheese. Poor cow having it's bits pushed and pressed around so you can have a white coffee or cheesey chips. Poor potato being dug out of the ground probably screaming in pain. I'm not a vegi BTW. And my daughter will choose her life and what she eats.
  6. I used to miss conkers and British Bullcock sorry i mean dog as a Kid. All banned.
  7. So the charts are going away from the cold? Never mind. It's quite sunny and cold atm. Nice and refreshing.
  8. You also couldn't make it up that at exactly 3:04pm there was a heavy rain/hail shower when I needed to go on the school run. nice one.
  9. You couldn't make it up that on Take home task Monday it was raining and i had to fashion a cover for the helmet, shield and axe. And a bit blowy too. And a bit cold because of it. Then when i'm home out pops the sun.
  10. I lived by the south coast for over 30 years and never saw ONE white Christmas. In fact for a good few years barely any snow. The closest I have gotten to see actual falling snow in the run up was the great 2010 when there was still snow in the garden on Christmas day, when I had then moved to where I am now. Seen snow on boxing day in kent maybe in the 70's but it had fallen a while back, so I never saw it fall. I think I will have a mild sunny christmas day. maybe a bit of frost. The usual.
  11. Oh. So it's still gonna be mild winter with cold and dry? ugh. Don't like that friend much.
  12. Bubs school project this term has been Vikings, but I have had zero interest in messing with cardboard and glue. Thought I had till next Friday but turns out it's this Monday so I've knocked out a viking helmet in two days to go with Hubs axe and shield and I'm quite pleased how it looks. Took a Big cardboard box out in the garden so I could put glossing spray on it and left it outside. Then it started to rain and the box i need to but some christmas in is still outside wet.I must of walked past the window 3 times. Kinda sums it up.
  13. when your twitter feed is full of people with SNOW. yeah that😑

  14. Quite pleasant as we sat on a fence watching some fireworks. Wasn't that cold at all.
  15. As most years, when my thunderstorm dreams turn to what the winter could hold, I too would love a white Christmas. I not asking for a white out, just a dreamy hot chocolate, tree lights on flurry or two. Once Christmas is over I just wait till next year, unless it going to snow enough for a snowday and Bubs off school. My wardrobes are ready. 2010 was a dream year, although it didn't snow on the day itself we still had fallen snow in the garden and I'm certain we had a wet fall of snow boxing day, as we were eating our dinner then. Apart from a fall in kent one year when i was very young, it was first time I had seen snowfall in December (not just on the ground)
  16. Hi James, yes I certainly meant it in a general manner. As they say, don't know them personally don't take it personal. However my points stands that no one is going to save any planet trolling or flaming on social media.
  17. Well this guy certainly thinks so. : Jonathan Safran Foer: why we must cut out meat and dairy before dinner to save the planet | Books | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Animal products create more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transportation sector, but we don’t want to confront this inconvenient truth: our...
  18. I was happily surprised on Sunday. Get in there Lewis! What a change on how he was acting on social media only to do donuts on his victory. I can't even ... But anyway. US next.
  19. You have got to be trolling me if you haven't seen people harp on that becoming vegan would save the planet.
  20. I quite agree. Trolling, flaming and bullying will only change a few. It is everywhere. You must be Vegan, You must do this You must do that. You are never going to get the earth's population to totally bow down to the demands and quite frankly propaganda. As a fashion lover it has been now aimed at people buying clothes, the prices go up and company's are now failing. Then it's the medication asmatics use. We can't even live in caves now, wouldn't be able to kill animals for food or clothing, we wouldn't be able to cut down a tree anyway for the fire which is also bad. Maybe the human race has been destroying the planet before it invented the wheel? Certainly makes me wonder how we would survive. maybe we just aren't supposed to?

    Ghostly Happenings.

I still think there is something. However shows such as Ghosthunters and supposed mediums are playing on the gullible. I have a ghost site I follow on facebook, and it's mostly mediums saying pay me money and i'll speak to your loved one. It's quite shocking. How I'll see it, I'll find out one day.
  22. The thing is, apart from writing a lengthy post, it could of been avoided, but the head is sticking her heels in. Very Dangerous bend by the school with 100's forced to walk down and wait by it and it was only a matter of time.
  23. very Upsetting morning, had to walk past an accident by bubs school. The whole thing was horrible and although I had no part in it hearing this poor child crying and a person on the ground shook me up. Thankfully Bubs didn't see it. Apart from that it was a nice frosty morning.
