  1. Fine grauple pellets , the odd heaviest pulse covers the road, then slight thaw.
  2. So, snow has arrived Uxbridge area, the grains bouncing off of the windows. Powder grains.
  3. Started snowing in Uxbridge reasonable sized flakes and settling on to frosty ground
  4. Holy wotsits, the rain and wind have really picked up. Sounds like a freight train rushing past. Will have to check peak gust tomorrow. West London area.
  5. Just had a squall through Uxbridge area, whoah. Day into night, wind was unreal and rain/hail was intense for about 3 or four mins overall. Now bright again.
  6. At last, some rain and a bit of a storm nearby, enough to get a good lightshow.
  7. Missed out again. Nearest lightning and thunder was a strike or two towards Harrow. Perhaps 5 mins of rain, not heavy, no more than a 1ml. A grand total of 2ml today. Temperature dropped to a comfortable 25°c, but humidity at 66%.
  8. Must be in one of the few spots Between the multiple cells, can hear the odd rumble, but not a drop.of.rain or thunderstorm . Currently 28.2°c @67% humidity inside the house, and 34^c at Northolt/35°c at Heathrow. Phew it's hot ?️?️?️

  10. Getting lots of thunder and some sheet lightning. About 2 minutes of rain
  11. Tom wow, I can remember that storm, I was a child, but that particular storm made tsuch an impression on me. I can remember the pressure building and changing - my ears were ringing as the storm was building. My mum was looking out of the kitchen window, getting more and more.nervous - she was never normally bothered about storms, but as you say, it literally want from day to night. She grabs us kids and ran to a neighbours house and we literally just made.it. The sound of the thunder was like a bomb going off house was shaking, the lightning constant. The rain was like a monsoon - when it fell. Never seen anything like that in the UK until July 2015/2016. Even then, that was at night. Yes, those charts so look similar.
  12. We invested in a portable AC unit last year. Put it off for a couple of years, but wouldn't be without it now. Before switching on, the room was at 28.6°c, at 2100, but it cooled the room quickly
  13. Heathrow was at 33.8°c about 30 mins ago. Popped outside for a couple of minutes, felt like a furnace.
  14. Reached 35C on the garden thermometer in Uxbridge at about 2 now completely overcast and down to 31C. 4 miles to Northolt and 5 miles to Heathrow so thermometer seems about right
  15. Heathrow just shy of 33°c not even 11:10 am.... According to weatherhq
