    You might hate me for saying this but yes still altocumulus cloud but this time not altocumulus castellanus cloud covers the skies here. This suggests that the air is still unstable but not as unstable as yesterday.

    It was a great thunderstorm last night. The best thunderstorm I had seen since 02/08/2012. Frequent sheet lightning, deep booming thunder and torrential rain. Just what I wanted.

    No I always leave my window open in these events so there is more chance of me waking up because the thunder is louder. All I can remember is waking up as there was a rumble of thunder.

    Lots of rain coming up from the S though none of it is electrified. But, because I had a thunderstorm earlier in the night, I'm not too sad.

    The thunderstorm has passed now and we only have light rain. I have to say, it was the best thunderstorm I had seen since 02/08/2013. I'm so happy that I got something and I wish you good luck to all those NW, NNW, N, NNE and NE of me as the thunderstorm moves N. It's highly unlikely I'll see anything else but with more developments over the W coast of France, who knows?

    Ok, there is a thunderstorm over the Nantes area in NW France but nothing else. I'm not going to wait any longer and will just see what happens. Good luck everyone.
