It really is pleasant most mornings at the minute, harsh frost and stunning scenery, it has to be enjoyed
I am for NYC this weekend, looking for we to the proper cold it brings, but snow loooking unlikely

I haven’t had time to survey much of the ramblings in the MOD thread, but it looks like possibly a cold spell rather than snap, hopefully so, makes it feel more like it should in my eyes in the run up to the big day

I said I would not get hyped about any ‘potential’ this year and here I am posting charts

Evening folks, only back on again and looking forward to the ‘potential’ and eventual snow events this year, but can’t help but think about those struggling with already ludicrous energy bills.
Hope everyone’s well and getting into the Christmas spirit

Winds really picked up in the last 10 mins or so, rain is crazy

Winds really getting strong now and heavy driving rain mixed with sleet, going to be a rough night, I’m located just 2 miles east of Belfast International airport, will be interesting to read their weather figures come morning

Things have been quite here for the past while, definitely the calm before the storm
edit:- radar is packed with precipitation from the NW, wonder how much will be snow

Windings gaining strength here, heavy blustery showers, looks like a rough night ahead in the Amber warning area for us

Definitely a day for chilling in the house, fire lit and a drop of red wine
Later this evening and overnight looking wild, serious amount of rain has fallen the past week

Storm Dudley is on the way!
Storm Dudley will bring high winds later this afternoon and evening. Winds will start to increase from the west from around 12/1pm before gradually increasing across all parts and decreasing later this evening/tonight.
Wind gusts of 50-60mph are likely widely across NI, along with the risk of gusts up to or exceeding 70/80mph around the coast and in exposed areas for a time. Some sheltered areas may escape the worst of the winds i.e. – on the Leeward side of mountains, in built up areas etc.
The public should be aware of:
Risk of Disruption to travel - Road, Rail, Air & Ferry services.
Risk of Interruptions to power supplies.
Downed trees, power lines & Damage possible to roof tiles and lose objects etc
Risk of large waves impacting coastal areas - Coastal flooding etc.The public are advised to:
Take extra care if travelling.
Stay away from downed trees & power lines.
Take note of emergency contact numbers.
Remove or tie down any loose objects in gardens.
Avoid coastal areas such as beach & sea fronts, promenades and coastal roads due to risk to personal safety from large over topping waves and debris.

That was one heavy squally shower that just pasted through, temps to drop overnight with ice warning out for tomorrow, mentions of hail, sleet and snow in forecast, niiccceeee

10 pages takes us back to June on here, shows what a boring winter season we’ve had this year with not much of interest on the cards for the foreseeable.
My main concern now is if we do get snow that I’ll have forgotten how to lamppost watch
