GFS showing alot of potential next weekend for country wide snow. Though this week we will have to contend with cold at first then rain setting in then the fun of lamppost watching will hopefully return.

Nothing really of interest that I can see apart from this around the 17th of jan. Model forum flip from best charts so much and a few days ago GFS was rubbish, but it’s model potential quite well for us so far this year in my opinion. Eastly still be chased in MOD thread, heavy reading. I’m just back in from splitting logs all morning and what a glorious morning it is to, now trying to get the circulation back to me fingers and toes

GFS still showing potential for us over this side of the pond next weekend. Still along way off but IMO the GFS has been good at its predictions of snow events so far this winter.

Must be an error on app as still on website warnings. Wind speeds defo dropped and a lot quieter

Be windy for a while yet. Hopefully people have taken head of warnings and are taking safety measures, few branches have blown off nearby tree and hit windows already.

NI Weather in face book have issued red warning now

Going to head out into the field for a walk now the rain has stopped. Wind is crazy already. Phone needs fully charged incase electric goes out which I would be surprised if it didn’t. Ophelia had nothing on this

Storm Eleanor certainly picking up, wind gusts getting stronger and strongest haven’t reached my location yet. Amber warning issued by metO, will be a wild evening into the early hours

Don't see much snow potential this weekend on the GFS, hopefully i am wrong. Look set for an easterly flow for a few days from Friday with cold days and nights, but it looks quite dry.

I’m sitting in Belfast with a pint of Guinness, a white head with a dark bottom.....definitely hangover conditions tomorrow.

Nice festive cold spell currently, haven’t been on here in a while with all the Christmas parties to keep me occupied. MetO have just issued warning for snow and ice so thought I would have a look and see what’s happening. new date for diary......8th jan for country wide snow event.....long way off but something to cheer us up getting back to first full week of work. Don’t know what to make of the warning for overnight......lamppost’s at the ready

Another few of those showers mountain and we’re laughing again. Radar shows precipitation constantly pushing west.....good be good for just about anywhere. Dew points good for just about everywhere except for......you guessed it.....dublin. You’s must have renewable energy grants in dub rochey, generating to much heat

Same here....rained on way home and into the house 10 mins and heavy snow, place white already.

Some heavy precipitation pushing in now from the west, turning to snow over Donegal. Dew points down slightly also

Ice warning issued by metO so they musn’t be concerned about any accumulations of snow this evening and into tomorrow. i would say the grounds to wet anyway due to the thaw and the heavy showers pushing through.

Big thaw on here this evening, some loud rumblings of the snow falling off the roof of house, wife nearly got hit coming in the back door earlier. Tomorrow evening looks like lamp post and radar watch again. Would be good to see metO warning at least to up the confidence, video forecasts looking good but. p.s. Talk of a green Christmas this year.....again, loads of time for change but
