showers seem to be getting shorter and less frequent (albeit heavier) when they do arrive. Are we expecting them to be less frequent this afternoon/evening?

We appear to be in a gap between the lines of showers at the moment. Just our luck!

To say it’s meant to snow in the morning it doesn’t really feel cold out! Is there colder air due to move in? Could be a damp squib here in York again if not

The problem is every summer is trending warmer, there’d have to be very favourable Synoptics for any hope of that!

Unfortunately not, it was snowing fairly hard for maybe a few hours tops, then soon turned back to rain. Another miss. Yes, it seems we all need an exceptional setup to get snow these days

Roll on summer then . Just looks like it’ll be the same old story for York and East Yorkshire. Enjoy it those who have been lucky

York misses out again. An hour or so of wet snow gone back to light drizzle. Might give it up for this winter!

Can confirm still nothing here in York. Been just south of it all morning. All movements is east to west

If anything is still moving north. Just on the south edge of York we had light sleet about an hour ago, it’s since stopped
