10.2mm here and plenty more to come.
March will probably finish around 120-130mm.
Another 100mm+ month
-
A late 6.7c and 94mm please.

Lots of flooding around here this morning.
127mm so far this month. Only January (69mm) and September (97mm) have been below 100mm this Autumn/Winter.
Longing for some dry warm weather now. This Winter has been a hard one to take! Promised so much, but in the end delivered nothing but rain.

Temp got down to-3.4c before rising to 0.5c.
Gotta say, this cold spell ain't living up to the hype.
To top it all off, we're back to wind and rain from the weekend onwards........ Nice!

Yes,could develop into a nasty little storm that. Poor charts for cold all the way through from all models. Can't we just nuke them Iberian heights
Next week, is typical UK weather in January. This week is not.
All the hype over an extended cold spell was misplaced. Unfortunately once the South Westerlies set in,it will be 2-4wks before we could see anything cold, and that's not guaranteed.

I disagree. Once the cold gets in the precedents are for atlantic energy to trend south. I'll be super excited it I lived in Jersey:)
We shall see. But to my eyes, things are trending away from a nationwide event.
Somewhere will hit the jackpot, but it ain't going to be anywhere in the South.

I would say areas in the South are trending less likely to see any cold and snowy conditions. I think we'll see a mixture of rain and snow, but places further North should be feeling happy about where we are heading.

This is an example from the 18z GFS. The operational is skidding along the bottom with many members milder. This has been going on for several days:
Where have you been Tilly?

Nice to see snow falling. I know there's talk of potentially better chances later on, but I'm happy to just see some snow

Which is why i can't understand the despondency, we were always unlikely to see HLB early Jan, what were people expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel window.
I'm sure you understand why everyone is far from convinced that anything substantially cold will visit this little Island.
1, Cold spell beginning of December, was a tepid affair, with snow limited to the usual places.
2, Cold spell over Christmas has turned into one of the mildest Christmas eve on record.
3, Cold spell between Christmas and New year has all but vanished.
4, Cold spell for 2nd week of Jan is starting to get pushed back.
All models at some point where showing the above, over the past 6wks.
Loving all the positively about the vortex, but at this rate we'll have gone through the best part of Winter to maximise the Cold, and be looking at another cold Spring. Not what most on here were hoping for back in Mid-Novemder.

Good little storm, but as usual, the main core of it passed to the East of Weston-super-Mare.

Good crack of thunder just then

Scrap that, looks like the electrical activity is dieing off.
Should get a good soaking though

Yep, this one might actually develop further, rather than the usual other way around.
I think I can hear distant thunder.
