We are still under amber until ten, I am assuming that's for the other areas that were pummelled, clearish skies here.
Beautiful clear skies here too. I’m headed off for Maidstone shortly, it might be a different story with the skies and the roads there....

Very light dusting in Sandwich so no snow day for me, great to hear other people had a boat load!
Anyone know what it's like Dover way, other half has just set off.
What are the thoughts on Thursday/Friday, great to see we are keeping the cold.
A very light dusting for me in Dover. Can still see the green of the grass in the garden.

wow.
Well, I might just add that I am a lurker and have very little knowledge - just in case I have made a school girl error! I got that from Wunderground in case that’s not a particularly reliable place?

The storm is certainly alive and kicking here; the dog's been blown down the garden, but surprisingly the hanging baskets are hanging on for dear life!

Fizzling out here in Folkestone. Damn, there was just a chance of being sent home, but as it wasn't laying I've had to stay!
-
Light snow in Folkestone, very dark out there.
-
I spoke too soon - SNOW!!
-
At work in Folkestone, not a thing here, no rain, no snow, no nuffin'!
-
I just hope it gets here before midnight lol, hope the council changes it's mind soon about turning the street lights off.
I think I read the council are going to keep the lights on at night and use LED's to save the money. Not too sure when that's starting though - I fear it won't be this year!

Light snow just this second started in Dover.
-
Lovely flakes falling here in Dover, although apparently only sleet down at the docks.

Ooh yes I can see flakes whizzing past the lamppost!
-
Thanks WI, I'll remain hopeful then and try a bit of lamppost watching later!

Heard that Dover have some snow over the hills from the current precipitation clipping our East
Just been looking from the garden over the hills but no snow to be seen.

Evening Stun, it's certainly been gusty here, but only the odd one audible over the sound of the news on tv and we still have a Sky connection. I'm sure we'll hear a bit more before long....Still just the occasional gust here...how is it for peeps east of me like Folkestone and Dover. And is Tamara under any weather yet (apart from in the mod thread)?

You're quite right, thunder and lightening here now - thanks for the heads up!Getting more rumbles and flashes here, but remaining dry and relatively calm otherwise so far. Lots of small but obviously rather active blobs heading up now from the SW. As indeed JP said they would. Dover / Folkestone should be getting some too, as well as NE Kent

Does anyone know if the storm has passed east Kent now. Wondering whether to start my journey Dover to Canterbury, or if this calm is before the storm?
-
I thought that too Snowflake, especially in light of those 2 people swept out to see last night. Very irresponsible of Sky.
