Looks like the chance of more snow tomorrow then a thaw out sunday and early next week. Then another low later next week that could bring more cold. source: bbc forecast just now. -
I took a bit of a risk opening my mouth, my instinct was to stay stay quiet, but had a good feeling on this one, mainly due to Catacol originally and then the bullishness of the met office helped. Pleased it came off anyway, had a great day and seems everyone is happy. All good.

*thanks to this forum* told the Thursday night football lads last week, that "by next week we wont be playing because of snow" - was met with a few puzzled looks and a few sniggers, lol, well guess what, no football tonight! Thanks guys

Nether Stowey, must be in some sort of sweet spot lol, woke up at 7am and was already white and literally has not stopped snowing once all day. They don't really grit or plough here, so people will be stuck here until it thaws. saw a few cars stuck down the road earlier. Really not a good idea to even try driving on this.

Very heavy snow now, road completly burried, been snowing since 7am.

Been snowing all day here, starting to pick up in intensity now. Met Office app said it would not start snowing till 3 but am burried already. Bring on the main event

Minus 5 here tonight, feels much colder, just had to bring the pet rabbit in, should have done it a bit sooner really. Just got an email from the schools saying it will open tomorrow but if things get bad you will need to pick your kids up (seven mile drive on B roads) brilliant, prob good idea not to send them?

Bob on westcountry news said potential for heavy blizzards in the strong winds. Showed the whole of the west under heavy snow. Hope your wrong AJ.

thursday looks great but friday seems a bit of a downgrade, still plenty of time for an upgrade anyway all good

met office app forecast seems to have downgraded the snow somewhat, still fairly decent bit not as good as earlier.

Yea we have amber warnings over our region, and they are chatting about knitted boobs (apparently they use them to teach expectant mothers how to breast feed, I mean it cant be that difficult right?)and KFC running out of chicken! could not make it up ?

Will deffo bank that forecast, big heavy blizzard followed by a warm up in the tempratures - absolutely love snow, bit not so much cold, ok in small doses, seems we get the best of both worlds here. Win

Just added this to my emergency supplies, its for friday, if we get blizzards then will have a wee nip in celebration - no blizzards then will down it to drown sorrows. Win-Win.

No nothing cancelled, bit of a downgrade in terms of longetivity though biut still looking great for Thur / Fri with the potential for blizzards as the cold air meets the moist atlantic air. All good - you will need those clothes and sledges, keep the faith.
