Village called Nether Stowey, near Bridgwater - seems to be some kind of sweet spot for both beasts, have done really well from both.

Snow very much like the beast part one now, fine, powdery, settling everywhere and glistens in the light.

Picking up here. Road going white for the first time. Medium sized flakes coming down quite fast.

Going by the radar and taking into account the amount of lying snow in Devon, surprised parts of Devon did. Did not get a red warning, perhaps thats what Ian was referring to, perhaps the models have underperformed..

Thats what its predicting if advanced a few hours...

Looks very good on the home and dry radar, should be getting heavy snow very soon - for what thats worth.

What kind of smell was it?

Am from Torquay, palm trees look magical with snow on them, great photos. Snow a very rare beast in the part of the world.

Possibly a bit chilly to go bare footed. Put some nice warm socks on too

heavy snow here now - settling like a dream. Kinda scared too go too sleep. Dont want tto miss action, respect too met O they nailed it agin

best thing about beast mk1 is that the main event was through the day, iits hard to sleep through a once in blue moon event. perhaps will have some gin. thought this could be a dream weekend, Liverpool winning, Salah becoming Liverpool highest scorer debut season, snow and gin. just needed United to lose, looks like Moaninho is about ready for another breakdown. Thought my luck was really in, nearly bought a lottery ticket.

Fairly low elevation here, but you can drive for a few minutes and be 200ft above sea level. Beast 1 tried to go driving and was pretty clear it was a bad idea! Will keep trying, but the thing with the beast is it cares not if you are up in the mendips or at sea level. wetter snow tonoght and biiger chunks it seems too that was delivered earlier in march, that was to powdery for my taste, looking out the of the window right now. Its more intense now than it was anytime beast mk-1. If thos is just the starter brng it on.

Having some nice snow now - I am aware its only just starting, but supposed to be having lunch with the in laws tomorrow, the snow at the moment is not settling on the roads but could really do with the roads being inaccesible tomorrow. Plaese reasure me before i go to bed .
