    Round two in East London (pic included) didn't last too long and has suddenly fizzled out which is strange as there was a storm either side of me. Hopefully now I can sleep and must not complain of lack of storms for the rest of the year.

    Another from me using the Lightning app. Wish I could have used my camera but the click was too loud (in a sleeping child's room). Lots of Lightning and no big cracks of Thunder, I score it 9/10 for a UK storm.

    I cannot believe the high volume of in cloud flashes going on near Chigwell. I am sure this cloud above an American plain would look great.

    Wondering if I should get a tiny sleep before something arrives. I don't have much of a view south from East London, but my north view is better if anything comes over. Phone is charged and camera ready.

    Today in the far east of London we had a distant rumble of Thunder, a couple of showers, lots of cloud and some (hot) sun this afternoon. Here is a little spiral I spotted a couple of hours ago, maybe a old vapour trail? (poor quality phone pic)

    This cloud is over Brentwood ish. I don't know if it is rising or dropping water as it looks too small for rain. Edited, it's growing and just dropped a very light shower.

    A little storm over Salisbury is heading for MK. Probably too far for it to last. Got a sunset with clouds that I wasn't expecting.

    I have to decide by Wednesday morning if I will go down to East London as planned that day or stay in MK for the night. All depending on if thundery showers are on the cards (I want to be where they are and yes I know they are hard to predict). What do you think?

    I didn't see any of the tour, hoped for a distant view from MK, but the old bird was too far West. My family also went to Southend and said it was emotional. All I got to see was a nice clip on YouTube. Do you think it is emotional as we all know it's the final year?

    Down to 23.5c here in MK now. The wind picked up and we had a light shower. No sun since just before 1pm. I am watching the big blob in the south West to see if it develops as it could clip me.

    Netweather forecast estimates possible storms for Milton Keynes this afternoon. I guess that should mean some interesting clouds bubbling up (and drifting away). 16.7c now and cloudy.

    Nice day in MK and I just managed to catch a glimpse of the sunset. A heatwave late next week would be welcome (if true). I don't expect to see the aurora here tonight as there is too much light pollution (and there's not much cloud....grr)

    Radar shows lightning 5 miles from MK but I can't see or hear anything, all we have had is heavy rain for the last 20 mins. We still haven't had any breaks in the cloud today and there is no wind. Distant rumble just heard at 15:33. No idea where the lightning is supposed to be, the sky isn't being helpful.
