  1. Clag broken by 10.30 and completely gone by 11.30. Much more reasonable as opposed to those all day cloudfests.
  2. Well when the threshold for a heatwave in Manchester is 25C I'm not surprised. I don't want to go all "It's called summer" as I appreciate what 30C plus can do but come on anything below 30C is not worthy of attention and 25C is a comfortably nice summer's day.
  3. Sun's out now with some decent sunny spells. Already warmer than yesterday's max. Please let this be the end of the cold, it was genuinely winter-like cold in the house yesterday and this morning.
  4. Cloud day, high of 13C. Indoor temperature below 18C. In June. Disgraceful.
  5. Sunny spells from 11am, mostly sunny now, 17C. Apps did a good job for once.
  6. The retrogression has collapsed and the high will move East soon enough. Warmer but surely wetter in time too. Crazy overreaction to a 1 month dry spell given what the rest of Spring and Autumn were like. The Mediterraneans must be laughing at us. Grass should be yellow in a good summer.
  7. Who has money to burn on air con when it's still below room temperature outside, especially with current energy prices!? Another brilliant Saturday here 20C unbroken sun, though it's a bit borderline when the breeze picks up. Just need another 3-4C and it's perfect.
  8. We are above average for rain in the last 10 months. We don't need it and it can wait for the appropriate season in Autumn. If we have problems blame government and water companies for not building reservoirs for the more than enough rain we get.
  9. Nice clear start but it's taking so long to warm up. Only 16C by mid day, this should be the 9am temperature.
  10. Would think wet soil would no longer be a problem, but as with others it's so slow to warm up, Just 15C after 3 hours of sun.
  11. Finally an early break up of the clouds, should hopefully be a good end to probably the most miserable week of the year so far.
  12. Same here cloud no problem rolling in at the time the sun should easily be beating it. The North Sea should not be this strong of a cloud machine in June.
  13. At least I can enjoy half a day of sun with April temperatures. 15C.
  14. 40 hours since I last saw the sun. House is freezing again. Only in the UK can you have a pressure of 1028hpa and be stuck under miserable cloud and at times drizzle.
  15. 24/25 isn't hot. It's only 5 or 6c above average.
  16. Cloud finally burnt back to the coast (of the River Severn) so got some sunny spells here. 14C
  17. West Midlands apparently on the North Sea coast today.
  18. Awful today, once again Met Office spectacularly wrong with cloud forecasts this time the other way. Surely they can see the cloud relentlessly piling in, why say it should burn back to coasts when there is zero evidence of that?
  19. Brightness starting to appear now. Really odd how the Southeast is mostly cloud free today whereas the area above the easterly winds is in the cloud.
  20. East of Birmingham area was really cold this morning. Chilly start here too but mostly sunny from early on, so 17C here.
  21. Christ what is going on with the Met forecast? This was low twenties days ago and despite absolutely nothing changing in the models it's now barely high teens. Pleased to report nowhere near as much cloud as met office was going for so far today.
  22. It's a repeat of this week though, if anything easterly winds are weaker so not as much moving inland. We had no problem with North Sea cloud this week.
  23. ECM looking brilliant someone tell the Met Office please, every day cloudy on their forecast, I'm nowhere near the East coast.
  24. Briefly touched 20C earlier but quickly down to 17C now that cold front has passed.
