  1. Just captured this whilst in the garden moments ago.
  2. I think the storm has passed through here now, or it's fizzling out, as there hasn't been any thunder/lightning in around ten minutes now.
  3. I'm streaming the storm as best as possible that's making its way inland now (link in sig), I've switched the microphone on so it should pick up the storm (and the beeping of my lightning detectors - can't mute them), but there is a lot of other intermittent noise around due to the main road outside the house, the thunder should begin to get louder and should be picked up by the microphone.
  4. I have turned on my camera and will run it where possible overnight so long as the power remains on, the camera is facing the sky, so at the moment it's pretty dark out, so it'll just look blank until we (fingers crossed) get some lightning.
  5. I just drove through what must've been the center of that storm currently making it's way north from the Portsmouth area. Torrential rain, and I need to emphasize the word torrential and the occasional clap of thunder, lightning was lovely vivid purple and had a couple of close strikes which had almost instantaneous thunder. The roads are flooded but things have just died down somewhat.
  6. I just want some sustained rain here, at least something to clear the air, I guess it's a case of keeping an eye on the radar.
  7. Sorry, what MCS? I can't see any multi-cellular systems within reach of Reading. I am also in the same boat as you, i'm near Guildford and had absolutely zilch from everything.
  8. Small shower passed through, temp was 31.6c before and 28.7c after.
  9. Can anyone break things down for me, is Portsmouth <> Guildford due any storms tonight and or tomorrow. All of the charts are starting to confuse me quite a great deal.
  10. It all seems to be dying off, comparing the radar returns now to what was visible earlier is quite depressing.
  11. I thought someone mentioned that it was moving N/NE slightly into Hampshire, but the activity appears to be more on the Western side, what's the deal, is Hampshire/Surrey likely to get anything from this, I'm not sure if it's mean to intensify again at all?
  12. Nothing here in Hampshire, absolutely gobsmacked at how bad the past couple of days have been, it's truly remarkable the lengths mother nature will go to in order to ensure the UK doesn't see a storm ;-)
  13. I might sit up on Portsdown Hill tonight if we're due to get something rolling in off the channel, I was a bit disappointed with the end result from last night but at least it's relatively bright out there this morning, still a lot of cloud around mind you.
  14. I haven't been on here since the last time we had some decent action down south, however I am rather addicted to watching the charts today, and I am glued to the latest rain radar returns. Fingers crossed, and I hope the wind doesn't steer it off to far to the east as the MetO forecast seems to do.
