You’d think it was the end of winter looking at some posts on here. It will be what it will be. There’s plenty of months for a cold spell to occur as others have said these can crop up out of nowhere. Here’s hoping for a white Christmas

Really atrocious conditions here, hard t tell how much snow we've had because of the strong winds blowing the snow around.

Strange the Met haven't updated amber warning t cover rest of Yorkshire e.g north, looks like the whole county will get a pasting overnight

Drifting really bad and quite a few showers one after another . Wind really blowing . Must be extreme on north York moors . Dangerous
Aye even in valley bottom (Farndale) it's a total whiteout with drifting. Expect it'll be extremely bad on Blakey Ridge.

Expecting a good dumping here tomorrow morning, thereafter I expect further showers giving accumulations. We normally do pretty well up here in these sort of setups. Good luck to everyone ?? Hope everyone gets abit of snow at some point over the next week ?

I've got to say, if you're sitting on the North York Moors or in The Wolds right now (Lincolnshire or Yorkshire), I think the next week will be pretty memorable.
Aye I'm pretty excited, I reckon we'll have bout a foot. Expecting some massive drifts over Blakey ridge.

Gotta be pushing half a meter of snow on the North York Moors on the current forecast! Drifts would be significantly higher. I'm sure it can't maintain this sort of craziness in future runs, but I said that earlier this week and what I'm seeing tonight is blowing those runs out of the water!
Aye living in Moors I'm getting excited ?

Where are you in the Moors? Your not in the sweet spot but very likely you will have elevation on your side meaning you will see an all snow event.
Farndale, in vale bottom just next t Blakey ridge. Suspect Blakey will get a fair bit.

Expecting a few cms here on the north york Moors
