    Saying that the lottery machines got took out briefly here despite the worst of the lightning being towards glasgow

    Did look like that the MCS which caused all the havoc down south was going to stay strong as it came up to our shores but it weakened quite dramatically (although we did get a few rumbles and flashes)

    Turned into a rather persistent band of rain (the grass will be loving it)

    Well that was a little disappointing!

    Think it safe to say the dry spell has just gone goodbye

    I was expecting it to be quite a lively night possibly up here but I not so sure now. Tomorrow might be better...................

    A cool down? If I am reading it correctly but not the cool down as bad as expected but also not the heat as we have had this week at times?

    Took a while but been another wonderful sunny day not overly hot today too which is good but the breeze is picking up again which may well be a sign of things to come

    Looks as if there quite a reasonable chance here of all of this heat going out with a very big bang. Flooding could be a problem though in some places with all of this hard/dry ground

    Seems in this run that everything is swept out by wednesday unless i'm reading it wrong?

    Another ripper of a day here although not the crystal clear blue skies of yesterday but it is hot again

    It a bit of a case of will it or will it not happen here for us it touch and go but with all the heat surely something got to give..............right?

    I know it really quite hot (OK slightly cooler in most places than is has been) here this morning it was a wee bit chilly (we are talking 5:30) chilly enough to see my own breath but turned into a dawn to dusk sunny day think the max was 27/28

    GFS seems to be dropping the temperatures dramatically from thursday (looking really quite miserable possibly with a lot of heavy rain around)

    Beginning to notice even here the nights starting to draw in it slow but definitely noticeable

    It not been completely dry here this week believe it or not monday was quite drizzly at times especially late on ground was briefly wet

    Is this going to be a nationwide major thundery breakdown or a very wet one? GFS Still shows little energy for us up here to at least end of the week

    Anybody having power cuts because of weather? That's us had our third in about 2 weeks since this spell started
