  1. It changes the colour scale of the radar - nw original is the first one we made, traditional matches the metoffice radar colours, and nw new is our latest colour scheme.
  2. Ok, so some more info - last night we had an upgrade on our firewall, at that point it looks like a cable wasn't replaced properly and that eventually disconnected this pm. Our hosting company Rackspace (who were responsible for the work done overnight) then took approx 1hr 45 to diagnose and fix the problem (eg go to the firewall, notice the cable not in and push it in), which is obviously pretty unacceptable, but there we have it. Apologies again...
  3. Apologies for the downtime earlier, we're unsure of the exact cause as yet but in short a vital networking connection broke which took everything down.
  4. Not specifically picking on people here they're just the three most recent examples, but the posts above made this morning are not model discussion - these sorts of posts really need to go into the model banter/moan/chat thread: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/76235-model-banter-moans-and-ramps/
  5. Another reminder - there is a zero tolerance policy in terms of point scoring, bickering, personal snipes and any posts which disrupt the thread or go against the spirit of the community. This includes posts which suggest other members are 'on a wind-up' just because they are offering a different opinion. (If you think someone is on the wind-up, or a troll please report them, don't respond to them in here as that just adds to any potential issues). Any members who fall foul of this policy will find themselves unable to post in here for a period of time, so please do moderate your own posts, and consider what you're posting before hitting the submit button...
  6. This should be fixed now - would strongly recommend staying with firefox or chrome rather than the standard android browser btw, they're much, much better!
  7. Thanks, yes - can confirm this is a bug in the standard android browser (the developers nightmare - one bug fixed = a new bug created!), we'll have this fixed today I'm sure
  8. Going to be a screaming jetstream right over the country on Thursday..
  9. Actually yep, have found a bug on the forecasts in the stock android browser which does appear to be throwing out the alignment. We'll hopefully have that fixed tomorrow, but in the meantime the chrome & firefox browsers are fine.
  10. Can you also confirm the version of android and browser you're using so we can test with that
  11. Can you send a screenshot please, I've not heard of this sort of problem before and am unsure exactly what you're describing
  12. Scottish mountain snow and white xmas odds (by Jo) http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;storyid=5450;sess= Winter's coming....
  13. Jo looks ahead to the weather for the rest of the week - change on the way... http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;storyid=5448;sess=
  14. We'll be updating the forum to a newer version today which will mean a short period where it's offline. We'll keep this as short as possible but it's likely to be approx 30-60 minutes. Edit - this won't be going ahead today but will do on Tuesday or Wednesday.
  15. I didn't see your posts at the time, but if you need help in terms of posting options etc, a decent place to start are the help files (see the section under posting) http://forum.netweather.tv/index.php?app=core&module=help If that doesn't help please shout.
  16. Right, sorry some weird server config issues going on there, should definitely be sorted now
  17. Odd, we've made no dns changes in a very long time, so no idea why that should happen, unless their/your cache corrupted somehow. Re the forecast update, the 12z is running currently, is at the same time as usual and should finish within the next 20-30 mins
  18. If you do a tracert or traceroute to www.netweather.tv, what's it showing?
  19. It's definitely fine (it's on the same servers as the rest of the main site), I'm seeing your website feed ok as well?
  20. As above Pete, we were doing some bits on the forum earlier
  21. Seeing no issues here, nw extra and the main site definitely running fine, we've been doing a few things on the forum server this afternoon so there's been the odd slowdown but nothing currently.
  22. Jo did a blog entry about this earlier in the week - could be a good year for Autumn colours http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;storyid=5435;sess=
  23. I think you may have got unlucky with the timing - the lunchtime problems were us changing the servers about, and this evening was a very brief bump while we made a quick database change. Should be ok from here on in though.
