    Wind gusting here in herne bay, local weather station recorded 45 mph gust, picking up now.

    I remember during the 87 storm my brother was camping in some woods near us and was woken by what he thought was someone firing a shotgun, what it actually was happened to be the trees in the distance literally snapping in half by the force of the wind as it approached him. He got out of there pdq needless to say!

    Nothing settling, but coming down fairly heavy, switching between big flakes and sleet.

    Sun is coming out in Herne Bay, think we have definitely missed out any any major snow event coming this way today, so confussing as the radar shows us right under it! Hope all those that have had snow have a fun day in it today.

    Still snowing quite moderately here in Herne Bay, been doing so since 7am and hasnt stopped (got lighter at times and then picked up), lovely stuff *Hello all by the way, first post!*
