    Some nice activity in mid wales today, heard a distant grumble from a storm looking towards Machynlleth.

    Rain drops keep falling on my head despite there being next to no cloud cover directly above me. Meanwhile the fishies are getting quite fed up of this.

    I love days like today, scorching with scenic cu filled sky. Only an apocalyptic thunderstorm can beat it. Also possible convergence zone in mid wales this evening?. Wishful thinking.

    It's hot out there today, some nice bubbly cumulus building. Could do with some rain too, the plants are beginning to suffer.

    Nice heavy shower with occasional deep rumbles of thunder here, very nice.

    Allseasons-si mentioned that is was a wall cloud. It had plenty of motion to it (right to left in the pic), compared with the relatively slow moving storm. Also found a nice screen grab from a video taken earlier.

    Some nice structure near Aberystwyth this afternoon. The motion was unusual, looked like it was heading out to sea but then did an abrupt right turn directly overhead.
