Yes this easterly wind thing really helps east of the hills.
Onwards and upwards. I think there’s the best hope of winter in the next 4 weeks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. My best snow experiences have come from the NW in the form of big, red, heavy showers out of the Irish sea.
I'm shocked Glossop isn't getting a pasting.

After all the model analysis and checking every dam chart available for 5 days you have to say it's disappointing.
The biggest problem is every 'slider' or low pressure system that I have observed in the last 15 years has stopped short of the NW, rotated and sunk SE giving the midlands and everywhere else a good dumping. I have been fuming that the snow didn't reach the NW. This time is has, hasn't rotated but its too bloody warm.
Never mind onto the next chase.

Why is it always height dependent.
This is my elevation. North facing surrounded by trees so it’s often a bit colder here than down the road.
We’ll just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Absolutely detest working in Kirkham on a day like tomorrow. Would love to be up a big hill Rossendale area.
All there is left to do is look out the window and see what falls.

Looks like East of the Pennines does best due to the East wind. Looking at the models west of the m6 looks to dry up throughout the day
