  5. I recall that there was a very cool pool of water in the North Atlantic between Newfoundland and the UK during 1972, one of the reasons that was used to explain why June 1972 was so cool. That had a particular cool May to September CET period, much cooler than we have had this year but this current period does look like the coolest since 1993. Interestingly there was an El Niño during 1972-73.
  6. It looks a cooler and drier than average September. The last one was 1990.
  7. Could end up the coolest May to September CET period since 1993
  8. It won't be long before the sun setting won't be on my timelapse for the next few months
  9. A lot of Greenland blocking throughout the year of 1879 and a northeasterly flow for UK How cold the year was
  10. Llandudno, lovely town, great views from the Great Orme until you look towards the Irish Sea and see a hideous array of wind turbines.
  11. More and more have been popping up like toadstools on the Pennines to the east of Manchester. It's ironic, in attempts to reducing air pollution, we are creating more eye pollution.
  12. Anyone from Greater Manchester, south Lancashire, north Cheshire noticed the wind turbine that has gone up I think by the looks of it near Leigh? It's the tallest structure probably between the Hilton in Manchester and Fiddlers Ferry main stack.
