UK Rain Is There Any Sign Of It Ending?

Yet more rain overnight in west London, puddles everywhere but I can now see little areas of blue sky amongst the grey muck -

In Absence of True Seasons Am looking forward to this, I get home on Sunday night so will get 2 nice days, at least. Here in west London, it started sunny but it’s already clouded over

MP-R Same here. It’s just been a relentless run of cloud, wind and rain. To be expected in every winter to a degree, but that’s basically all we’ve had for months on end. Awful. Some stunning weather on the way for central Europe though, 5 days between 20-27°C with sunny spells are forecast. That’ll banish the SAD in no time

MP-R it’s just not been a cold winter at all. It’s only been ‘wintry’ in the damp/wet/gloomy/windy sense. Even in Central Europe we only had a a week or so of what I’d call cold. Otherwise, it’s been nearly identical to the UK with buckets of rain, cloud and wind. Seems to improving quite dramatically this week though

In Absence of True Seasons There will be though, not raining for more than 10 minutes seems to send some folk into a melodramatic meltdown Not particularly pleasant at Heathrow today, lots of cloud and wind and feeling chilly

Another nice day here with hazy sunshine and 21°C. The haze is being by caused by Saharan dust, apparently. Sadly, I have to travel back to hell, sorry the UK for work

Gorgeous spring day here in Czechia, the sunshine is quite hazy but feeling lovely and warm

A pleasant day here with sunny spells and some cloud. Still quite windy but it reached 18°C, so got lots done in the garden

In Absence of True Seasons haha, absolutely! Though it’s not been much better here in Czechia, a very wet run of months. At least the last week hasn’t been too bad. Back to grey, windy crap today though

Some useful rain here overnight, but already brightening up with a forecast high of 16°C. Not too shabby and the vile wind has calmed down thankfully

Some good sunny spells here today allowed temperatures to reach a respectable 16°C. Unfortunately, due to a howling SE’ly near-gale with 40mph gusts, it didn’t feel that warm. Would be nice to get a sunny day with light winds, I’ve really had my fill of windy weather

Don My God, you’re brave After all the drama in here, but there was a full moon so I’m not surprised. Pretty chilly here again, not much sun, hopefully that’ll change soon.

Had some hail showers here today which was interesting and sunshine in between, but I felt cold in the blustery westerly wind, despite working hard in the garden. Forecast showing low 20’s next weekend Much more pleasant

The day started out beautifully here with warm sunshine but rapidly deteriorated with the passage of a cold front around lunchtime. Not much rain but the wind was very gusty and it felt quite unpleasant by the afternoon in that cold wind and under grey skies. The temperature dropped over 10°C

In Absence of True Seasons Yes, I know I’ve said it before but the biggest issue with our climate (by far) is the lack of sunshine. Year round. For example, sunshine in winter tends to be of the cold, crisp variety, which is very pleasant. As for summer, I’d be more than happy with 22-27°C every day, lots of sunshine and the some useful rain from time to time (with some big thunderstorms too, of course).
