Unreal... Here's latest met office update. Spends whole time talking about rain/sleet/snow band crossing England and fails to mention NI getting constant showers the whole time.
Am I missing something??
It’s hardy that surprising given recent events in British politics! Met Eireann much better for this Island.

Hopefully the 12z runs will live up to the optimistic tone around here. We all know how quickly things can go wrong.

0Z ECM produces an "all snow" event for Ireland Thursday/Friday. Heavy snow with 90 km/h gusts hitting Dublin. A long time since anything like that has been seen.
Long time lurker but rarely post. Looks a great week ahead especially for the east and maybe everyone if Thursday/ Friday works out.
Its all very exciting I have to say.

Good to see it's finally snowing for our northern friends. Don't be greedy though and send it south!

Is the Euro4 good for snow accumulations? Looks ok down here in cork if it is.

Mmmmm. Met eireann and bbc newsline going for up to 3 cms! Met office warning and national weather going for 5-10 cms in low lying areas. Northern Ireland weather on facebook even more!! Who will be right. ? Huge difference on estimates! Somebody will look stupid. Will met office change there predictions to fall into line with the lessees totals! O the tension!
Met Eireann usually go conservative and upgrade their warnings closer the time. I would expect they will go Amber for Donegal and the north west tomorrow morning/afternoon. I think the showers will be fairly widespread so even hope down here.

At least Frank was a bit more animated about it on the UTV weather lol Here you go labane, looking good even for Cork, in fact nearly for the whole of Ireland
Thanks looks like we have a good chance alright. Nothing compared to up north though. Hopefully there won't be any downgrades.

Long time lurker and first time poster. Have been following the ups and downs like everyone else and it has been one rollercoaster ride so far. It would be no fun if it was straightforward and got rewarded with snow all the time so when we get wintry precipitation it makes it all the worthwhile. I hope the ECM increases the positive colder vibes further but I have a feeling it will just add further confusion!
