  1. Despite the cloud clearing by 10am and clear blue sky for the rest of the day I only reached a max of 17.8c.
  2. Who can complain? People who have had the exact opposite for many days on end now.
  3. I see the met office has pushed back the clearing of the clag here until after lunchtime. It's still tupperware grey although it is getting a tad brighter. One can only hope but it just goes to show how desperate things are when we wait with baited breath for less than half a days sun.
  4. But today I've not had even half of that. Even 15c would be nice.
  5. Yesterday was bad enough but today has been worse with the temp fluctuating between 9 & 10c on the car display during the drive home from work. Endless grey skies & and the wind is gusty & cold. Nothing growing in my greenhouse for weeks on end and now only 6 weeks or less till the nights start drawing in. They're right about a climate emergency but for the wrong reasons. Nothing can really make up for this crap. Roll on spring 24.
  6. Damp and dank again with mist, low cloud and rain. 7c with little or no wind.
  7. Low cloud, fog, mist and murk since daybreak. A cold damp feel to to day and with a current temp of just 8.9c a world away from the BBC forecast I've just watched.
  8. Grim all day with non stop rain and a max of 12.3c.
  9. Rain on & off for most of the day then heavy hail & thunder/lightning for a couple of hours around teatime. A max of just 10.7c in light winds.
  10. Overcast with sporadic light rain/drizzle (nothing like what was forecast) 12.2c in a light N/Easterly.
  11. Overcast with occasional drizzle in a gusty N/NE wind. At 14.2c its 10c down on yesterday.
  12. Heavy rain and a gusty NW wind (none of which was forecast) with a temp of 8.9c.
  13. As the sun begins to set the sky begins to clear. What causes this please?
  14. Early clear skies have now given way to the inevitable cloud fest despite a promising forecast of morning sun. 9.4c in a still brisk northerly. Looks like another woolly hat day.
  15. Sunny early on soon giving way to cloud & a few spots of rain. 12.3c & feeling distinctly cold in the brisk northerly.
  16. Wow, had a couple of July days here that failed to reach the teens.
  17. Heavy rain & 14.9c so a joke of an August day.
  18. Murk & drizzle since dawn with a current temp of 14.3c in a light N/E wind.
  19. A rather poor day here with no sun at all & a max of 16.6c. There was also some heavy rain around teatime which was not forecast.
  20. Heatwave over here in Leeds, overcast & 17/18c all day with a rather chilly breeze.
  21. An overcast day with no cloud breaking & no sun with a high of just 17.4c. Well below the forecast 22c.
