    I'm predicting roughly about the same amount as last Saturday's snow before it turns back to rain for Sunday's weather.

    Weather warning just been put out for our region for snow and ice on Sunday.

    I'm glad both GFS and ECM both on board for the cold returning some point next week for now. Fingers crossed it continues that way in the next few days.

    That low needs to shift further south-east to get the northerlies.

    The GFS showing cold air mass winning out next week with mild weather get pushed out by Monday night/Tuesday. I say the cold has gain the upper hand for now for next week.

    I went to work in Chorley town centre today which is abit higher up than I live. It was thicker snow cover up there.

    The clouds finally cleared away now. The temperatures should drop like a stone pretty quick right now.

    Looks to me that the models are heading for a slider scenario this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if the low pressure shunted south every run and we won't get any snow at all!!

    The models have got today and tomorrow to decide whether the cold air mass stays or not at the weekend. IMO watching the model thread is like watching football. I want the cold team to win!!

    I think tonight's weather is going to be colder than last night since our frosts/ice not even thawed at all today. I think small rivers could freeze over by tonight.

    Looks like we going to keep some snow cover until next weekend at least. Until then it's gonna be freezing!! The snow cover here usually lasts a day or two here and it looks like it will stay for a week at least.

    One thing to know is any snow on the ground seems to be not thawing here. I assume it is around freezing.

    Just walked my dog and everything here is frozen solid under clear skies.

    I'm glad the weather stayed clear all day and into the evening so the frosts will soon set in, an perfect set-up for snow later overnight.
