doubting il see much if any as I'm right on the Coast in Eastbourne. But like a child i still woke up early and waiting to see. with a coffee and blurry eyes! Fingers crossed we at least see a bit of snow

sadly, confirmed! even with slight elevation. Its not a surprise but i cant stop hoping Maybe later on.......

Sadly the dps are still around 2ish down here on the south coast, temps have dropped from a high of almost 4 to around 3 now but i thin its still a bit too marginal. nothing better to do with my Saturday currently than hope

Yeah it was on the 'snowdar'! Steve. gradually has changewd from the blues to greens, admittedly no pinks. but it is interesting to see it develop. as it intensifies maybe that is also helping evap cooling?

That little bit of precipitation in the far south East has been very interesting to watch too. it has intensified a fair bit and looks like turning into a little system. showing more and more as sleet/snow too according to the radar.....

Agree with you fellow Partridge nut! I dont mind her as a forecaster but, she seems to be saying the opposite of what the charts and us lot are saying/seeing? the end of the weekend to the start of next week is meant to be colder coming with the easterly....

Well compared to what some of you are saying, it was definitely windy here last night. this tree feel in the early hours of the morning, just missing my shiny car and house!

I want to stay up and see how windy it gets tonight but its looking like that wont be until 2-3 in the morning. I dont have any hard drugs to keep me awake, does anyone want to poke me with pins once every half hour? Alcohol and food for 2 whole days has rendered me somewhat drowsy....

Well i got my first tiny glimpse at some Snow for over a year an hour ago, pretty much most people it seems, it was a hail to sleet to snow thingy. obviously not settling here on the coast but nice to see, its been so long

Enjoy it my friend! I got sent home yesterday to isolate for 2 weeks. My Poor good lady has been isolating now for a week already, stuck in her bedroom, she has been very poorly and as soon as she feels a bit better she goes downhill again. Thankfully i still have yet to have any symptoms. I suffer from lung/ COPD problems. Look after yourselves everyone. much love

It is looking more and more likely that we will get a cold spell, starting around a weeks time. the usual shifts in models have been occurring but, all gravitating back to an Easterly push starting around the 22ndish. It would be nice to see a bit of snow as its always a horrid thing when we do not get any for a whole Winter period. I do hope it does not affect the spread of the Virus though, hopefully the opposite as it will keep people indoors more. Myself and my good Lady are currently in our 2nd day of Self isolation here. She fell ill on Thursday and so is stuck in the bedroom while i havnt caught it so far thankfully. I have COPD so my lungs would really struggle if i did catch it. We are both going stir crazy already her upstairs and me stuck in the lounge Stay safe everybody

Yup, it was a gorgeous sunrise up here in the hills of Eastbourne too. I have stopped taking photos of amazing looking skies/weather phenomena as what looks amazing to my eyes always looks crap from my phone

no. the pressure system is now moving in an easterly direction hence the bands are now moving in a more east to west. bloody annoying though. its going to be close whether it even skims us both in our towns. grrr!

Blimey, i didnt know you were soo old Dami i was at college in Eastbourne in 87 so im even older tho! It does look like it may be one of the windiest days we have had for many years. Some including BBC weather are now saying 70 - 80 miles an hour near the coasts, and that could be quite damaging, especially as its due during the day and for an extended period. I must admit though, with the lack of any interesting weather this winter it is a bit exciting.
