  3. Hoping for a filling of the snow in the coming week or so ,would not want 2010 to get away from us! http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/dynam ... .next3days http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/dynam ... xt3to6days Been great so far this month
  4. Its great that we are doing well , just imagine if it was very late developing and the ice terrible , I would not want to look at the charts till winter. Snow is like money its always good to have a bit more.
  5. Its just the excitement seeing all that snow spreading west and of the potential for interesting weather later in the winter, every year is different so who knows.
  6. I know ,it just would be nice to catch up 2002 soon...guess I can dream!
  7. Global sea ice area trend seems to have improved recently long may it continue. Any guesses/thoughts on the next move of the red and blue snow anomalies over the week? Blue pushing towards/into eastern europe, Red fragmenting over Canada? http://www.yr.no/place/Canada/Nunavut/Rankin_Inlet/long.html Some Scandinavian long forecasts looking interesting http://www.yr.no/place/Sweden/Norrbotten/Arjeplogs_Kommun/long.html http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Troms/Troms%C3%B8/Troms%C3%B8/long.html
  8. It would be good to have Scandinavia 'sorted' in the next couple of weeks e.g My thinking as always 'As much as possible as close as possible' does no harm.
  9. I see your problem http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/St_Austell/ I hope theres no warm spell coming in. The Netweather forum will have to do a whip round to send you to the gulag http://www.weather-forecast.com/locations/Norilsk/forecasts/latest
  10. For a quick look after the cheesy adverts the snow report runs from 5 mins 10secs to 7 mins 10secs
  11. 3 to 4 would be the recent winter version of what good looks like I reckon and 6 to 8 excellent...10 and above 1947 styley is crazy!
  12. Doing so well and only behind 2002 Netweather report of that winter wonder if there will be some kind of a match up A different winter, in that zonality wasn't persistantly there, in fact High Pressure easily dominated affairs after mid January. Some good snowfalls of up to 2 inches here in South Wales (200m asl) and the South East seeing quite a bit. London getting the most snow its seen for a good while. Easterly winds occasionally, brinign temperatures down a lot, with a very cold continent contributing. I recorded -15c windchill in early February! Scotland unlucky though, not seeing as much as 2000-01, Esterlies no the best wind direction for the North. A very dry winter overall, after early flooding in January. Astonishingly different to the 90s in terms of sunshine and rain totals. A good winter, although no where near snowy enough here in South Wales.
  13. Thanks I will hold back on that, me been having imaginations of a over due 62/63 winter.
  14. To be honest not that much up top either ,looks like I was thinking of the wrong country http://www.markvoganweather.com/2013/10/11/record-snowfall-alps/ Swiss alps not French. http://www.livecam360.com/webcams-360/6/suisse/

  16. http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/bookies-reveal-first-odds-for-uk-white-christmas/ The lowest-ever temperature recorded in England is -26.1C. In Wales it is -23.2C and in Scotland an even chillier -27.2C. You can get 16/1 odds on any of these being beaten before 30 April 2014. winter draws on and I'm tempted to put a tenner on!
