Bit of a newbie even though followed on and off, I remember Perth in 2010 where we had 1 foot of level snow and the thunder and lightning was amazing. What's the likelihood of Perth getting a foot of snow this time? Will it be convective etc.

Looks like Eastern Scotland and England both going to get quite a fair bit of snow over this weekend, I certainly wouldn't mind getting a foot again like we did in Perth in 2010. Anyone got any up to date accumulation charts for the weekend for Scotland?
