About 4 inches here in Braco (7 miles north of Dunblane) and still coming down heavy.

Heavy snow here for last 3 hours. Police stopping traffic from using the Braco to Crieff road due tho atrocious road conditions.

Is it just my connection or did the live storm disruption across the UK feed from the BBC stop yesterday ?

Winds have certainly increased here over the last 15 minutes. Live at the side of some woods that give a very good indication on wind conditions. Dry and increasingly windy.

Still the odd snow flurry here on the Perthshire/Stirlingshire border with slight gusts, a non event at the minute.

And the same here for Perthshire/Stirlingshire border. Windy with snow flurries, so far a non event. Suspect it may liven up a wee bit later.

Wind has just picked up here and within 2 minutes the roads are white. I expect it is going to get a lot worse as the day goes on.

Up until 20 minutes ago it was a lovely clear sky and just happened to see a lovely shooting star. No hope of that now as it is a bit of a white out.

Well I have never seen this amount of snow in such a short space of time. It can only be described as a white out for the last ten minutes and it is getting heavier.

That is the high school getting in touch with parents. All pupils who travel via bus/taxi to and from Crieff High school have been sent home due to the deterioration in the weather.
My wife has rang from work to say that patient travelling from Stirling has cancelled her appointment when on route to say that the weather is far to bad for her to continue her journey.
At the moment I am looking at a blue sky and light winds !!

Bit of sleet here and a little windy. However my eldest daughter has just rang to say that the school is sending some of the kids home. The bus company my eldest uses has taken the decision to pick the kids up earlier. The other bus company has not made that decision and my middle one is still at school.
Apparently the bus company and now the school are concerned about the weather later on during the day.

Snow on and off this morning with a few good gusts of wind. Snow not lying at all. Mr Snowman looks very much terminal now. Poor fella is about gone !! The odd pile of snow outside left by the plough from our snow a couple of weeks ago.

Snowing here. I don't think I have seen snowflakes that large before. I am quite sure it will turn back to rain very shortly.

Wind isn't too bad here but I am amazed at the level of water in the fields. The Allan Water and the Knaik river run side by side but are kept apart by a large grass embankment. That embankment is about to be breached. I have seen this before but I have never seen that amount of water in the fields that run adjacent to the Military Road. Fortunately I don't think we are forecast any more rain at the moment.

It has been raining heavily here for 12 hours and have probably lost 50% of our snow cover. However it has just started snowing and it is very very heavy.

Thaw is well and truly on here. I am hoping it's not too quick as the neighbours a few doors up have built 3 snow teddy's and wonderful they are as well. Hopefully I will be able to get a photograph tomorrow.
Seems a lot of hard work when the thaw was well advertised.

Woke up to a very slight dusting on the foot or more that was already there. Absolutely lovely morning here. Crisp and blue skies. Downside to the weather is Stirling RFC match is off today.
Watching with interest the Atlantic storm winding herself up. Surprised that the Met Office haven't made more of it. They obviously aren't worried about it's impact.

Snow now appears to have finished. The steady drip of it melting off the roof of the house. If it freezes tomorrow will be interesting.

Apparently the kids from Crieff are stuck on the bus in Muthill and are being sent back to the school. Roads are very poor between Crieff and Braco.
Snow has now stopped.

Still snowing in Braco albeit a lot lighter. Should all stop in a couple of hours. All very pretty.
All the kids now home from school and just the good lady to try and make her way back from work. Should be an interesting drive for her !
