  1. Haha. Yes we deserve to sneak in here in LB. We are in the Lee of the Chilterns, so from the SE and Dunstable Downs there is a near 150m drop. Cleverer people than me might know if that is anything to do with it!
  2. Ah well, not too bad all in all. We had our daily dose of steady, heavy rainfall. Thrilling
  3. M1 does seem to be a dividing line at the moment. For stronger/weaker storms.
  4. Agree. Aylesbury genuinely winds me up. Always gets a hit! See one now gone over us and intensified towards Buckingham! Ridiculous.
  5. Yes. In the firing line for hours yesterday, darkest rain shadows in the whole UK. For steady, non thundery rain. Genuinely can’t make it up
  6. Ugh. We get the lighter stuff here in LB. All the interesting stuff off to the east of Beds. The in laws in Bedford getting a pasting by the looks. Some bits currently in Central London might hit us later. Much more humid than yesterday.
  7. Oh yes, come directly at us now with the boring heavy rain! Shame you couldn’t do that on Tuesday eh. Bastards Was running in the rain at lunch. Genuinely cold getting back to the house. Far cry from a ridiculously hot walk from the beach to the pub in Poole last weekend.
  8. Oh hang on, might have a direct hit here from the east. Just torrential rain so far. Update. So that’s the only white shading on the radar so far, just moved away. Torrential rain but no fireworks sadly.
  9. That looks about that for now. Never really had a hum dinger here in LB, always just to the south of us. But ok with the fresher air now. just months of Atlantic crud to get through before snow talk
  10. What beach was that in the 2nd clip?? Most Mental Thing I’ve seen this week!
  11. Yep watching them too. Finally a downpour here and one massive flash & bang, as last!
  12. Poor buggers in Wizz planes trying to land at Luton. One has tried a few times and looks like it’s on its way to East Midlands or Brum.
  13. Come on. Big white radar blob only a few miles away. Don’t you slide away to the south you blighter
  14. Yet more storms approaching in an organised line from the SE, only for the LB storm shelter to rip it to bits and push it westwards. Few flashes towards Aylesbury, as per usual
  15. Oh. Just heard thunder here in LB...not even looked at the radar for the last few hours. Bonus late storm or another ‘meh’?
  16. Fair enough . Needs to be a rule though, location in name or post please
  17. Where though? The amount of time I spend going through a profile to see where people are
  18. Hazy nothingness here in LB...funny that purple oblong of warning level 2 thing is basically marking an area of no showers...and all the action is around the outside
  19. Lovely here in Tring Park. Quite humid and sun just starting to poke through. Car temperature was 17 degrees this morning, 40 degrees yesterday
  20. Ah. Driving to Tring from LB and it’s suddenly pepped up from nowhere! Probably be like this all day?
  21. As usual just steady rain with no thunder. Died a death as it hit the M1. Dull.
  22. Nah. Steady rain, bit of thunder, one loud one. Basically the main action was on a NW course right for us, then took a left turn across the Chilterns. Picked up an Easterly by the looks.
