  1. Heathrow leading the way. 33.7°c at midday.
  2. If Sarthend gets the record I am crying! But makes sense, it is one of the sunniest places in the UK. You get a different climate to London.
  3. Funny enough, as a pilot, all those three have there own bloody weather systems. So ironic they are topping 28C already.
  4. Not even close... EGLL 171653Z 1718/1824 15006KT CAVOK
  5. Heathrow currently sitting at 28% humidity. London City at 34% - definitely a lot drier heat than the usual plumes. EGLL 172020Z AUTO 15005KT 9999 NCD 25/05 Q1023 NOSIG EGLC 172020Z AUTO 11005KT 090V160 9999 NCD 25/08 Q1023
  6. This heat is not bad, humidity is very low now in London. Reminds me of Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi outside of the peak heat.
  7. Yeah big patch of airspace where they'll route stuff over top of LON (VOR) and or BIG then direct them to somewhere in Europe and the other way too. Busy at 4am UK for 5-6am arrivals into Europe.
  8. That'll be overflights from US etc, jet's cant get to that level till they are in European airspace or at least 100nm + from Gatwick. Humidity at 47% at the moment, as the days go by I think the heat is more bearable than it was last week. It was way too humid, dry heat is better to cope with imho.
  9. Tropopause will be roughly 45000ft on Tuesday too. Usually at 30000 odd ft in the Summer. Probably looking at the odd isolated African Style TSRA in excess of FL450.
  10. Lydd Airport is somewhat official? Also Southend Airport albeit over the water.
  11. A further two cells in London this afternoon/early evening. I've had 5 thunderstorms today, arguably the best I've experienced in a few hours probably since the late 90s, early 2000s. This setup in June/July would be horrific.
  12. Massive storm here in London. Booming thunder and intense hail.
  13. Looking good, doubt it'll cross the mountains though. Anvils everywhere behind it. Looking good, doubt it'll cross the mountains though. Anvils everywhere behind it.
  14. In Marmaris and I'm being treated to this growing system. Was small earlier, just growing and growing but doubt will cross the mountains.
  15. Yes, but compared to the 00s, I don't think our Summers are as wet as them. 2012 was a wet one all over. When I was a kid in the 90s, I remember going down East Street Market with my grandparents, getting drenched, going for Pie & Mash and getting drenched lol.
  16. We are overdue a wet Summer, hopefully this is it. Wet summer = +TSRA
