Got caught out by a Thunderstorm whilst crossing Westminster Bridge, IC lightning and a boom of thunder after a torrential downpour. Was so soaked couldn't get any pictures. But those damn drains are struggling now. Excuse "Because of COVID"

Pretty bad in London in some places. Flash floods cause travel chaos in parts of London WWW.BBC.CO.UK Cars are submerged in water in some areas while train services have also been cancelled.

This crap is sitting on the approach path into Heathrow. Had probably 2 or 3 cells pass through here.

This weather is frustrating. Ended up on the edge of one of those cells, was pretty turbulent. Glad we entered a smaller cell rather than the big one on our left... (On Autopilot at top of cruise)

Well the day after I flew the same routing, and whilst not massively convective on radar. I am sure there was some stuff embedded that was packing a punch, but the scariest thing of all. It was so smooth inside the heaviest of the rainfall. First time I've had zero visibility outside the canopy, normally it's the wings. But the rainfall was so intense in places, we couldn't see.
