  1. Some great forecasts around at the moment......I know it's still a week away but fingers crossed.....not too hot, and very little rain predicted. PERFECT!
  2. But......there's this? http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/Latest-Glastonbury-Festival-weather-update-Met/story-21248033-detail/story.html
  3. Oh dear. Let's hope for some improvement over the course of time!!?
  4. Thanks for your forecasting again this year Jackone! This is where it starts to get exciting!!!!
  5. Things are going the right way!!!!! Yip hip hooray!!!
  6. It's surprising how quickly the site dries up. In 2011 it went from raining and mudfest on the Friday to dry as a bone on the Sunday morning, just down to the Saturday afternoon heat and sun. The ground is clay and dries up very quickly. If we have a couple of decent days before the festival, I think we'll be onto a winner. If not, it's only mud, and my main concern is staying dry during the festival, and that sounds pretty promising - right Jackone?
  7. Have you seen this Jackone? http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/jun/13/glastonbury-2013-weather-forecast
  8. Got to be honest, I've been in really hot years as well, and it just gets too much! Dry and reasonably warm will do me. I don't like being baked out of my tent at 8 in the morning.
  9. Thanks AWD - nice to see some positives there!
  10. Thanks Jackone. These reports are as much a part of Glastonbury as the festival itself for me!
  11. So hot yesterday, it was beautiful and a perfect end to the festival. No mud for going back to the car park, wore my trainers, no problem.
  12. I'm off. Have a great time everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Mainly Primark t-shirts which will be binned/recycled at the end of the festival!
  14. Packed too. Found an ingenious way of getting loads of clothes in a backpack by vacuum packing them with bin bags and a hoover.
  15. Just seen a report from Glastonbury on points West - blue skies and sun beaming down! The reporter went round the site and did a mud test with a pole he was sticking into the ground. Most of the site looks absolutely fine, just the bits where there has been traffic are a bit muddy. But still, really not that bad. Today will really help dry it out.
  16. Yeah second that. I think we should all chip in and buy JACKONE a ticket in 2013.
  17. You too Jezzer. Have a great one. I know I will!
  18. A good example of how changeable the weather is at the moment. I looked at it 5 minutes ago and the Tor was against horrible, dirty grey cloud. Now white cloud moving giving way to blue sky. Same here in Cheltenham. Got caught in nasty downpour whilst getting my last minute stuff together in town, now the sun is out, it's pretty hot and my clothes are drying in the back garden. Oh and peg those guy ropes in well, Metcheck predicting 266mph winds Friday onwards.
