  1. Confirmed. Heard a distant rumbling too. There was some pretty heavy rainfall too. More in the last hour than all of yesterday.
  2. I agree with the bad forecast, but other reasons. They painted it to be an absolute washout here, but all we've had is just a bit of light rain on and off this afternoon.
  3. Nupe! I've switched to a new browser though, so it might suggest that it could be some old cookies in your cache.

  5. From the album: General Weather Photos

A passing thunder shower left a nice rainbow behind.
  6. Not that you can decipher much, but here's the radar for the Wigan postcode last night:
  7. Breezy today, but brighter now, with some sunny spells breaking through. Temp: 17.7°C - Hum: 77% - Dew: 13.6°C - Bar: 1007.45hPa - Wind: WSW @ 10mph.
  8. I'm glad it is a fading memory. It was an event I want to forget. 3" of snow fell, then turned to rain and melted within a few hours. I was in one of a very few places that I would call a non-event.
  9. Pretty grotty today. 6mm of rain, but not windy? The forecast shows it gusting to 30mph, but we have light winds here. Temp: 17.9°C - Hum: 95% - Dew: 17.1°C - Bar: 1007.52hPa - Wind: SW ~ WSW @ 7mph.
  10. Another beautiful start to the day. Temp: 20.3°C - Hum: 73% - Dew: 15.4°C - Bar: 1017.17hPa - Wind: NW @ 2mph.
  11. Thanks @Zephyr They're taken on my phone - LG G6. It has a dual camera, one is a standard lens, the other a wide-angled lens - which I like using more. I use the manual controls instead of auto modes, and sometimes I set it to take a RAW image, so no processing is done by the phone, then I can edit it using Snapseed. ---- A nice day, sunny and warm. Temp: 21.8°C - Hum: 65% - Dew: 15°C - Bar: 1015.51hPa - Wind: NW ~ NNW @ 6mph.
  12. Massive crack of thunder! I'm looking towards Swanage, I can see clouds under the base moving right on one edge, and moving left on the other..
  13. Not really much going on here, had a moderate/heavy shower a few hours ago, but no thunder, despite the thunder icon showing for 4 hours on the MetO forecast.
  14. June and July's rainfall totals would suggest wet months, but as you can see from my charts, it's come in a few high daily totals. There's plenty of dry days.. June: July:
  15. My weather stats so far this Summer, paint a skewed picture of it. Going by general memory, I would consider it a very good Summer so far. Temps are sunshine hours are definitely above average. However, it has been much windier than last year, same with rainfall - surpassing last year by a long way, and quite a bit above average.
  16. I've never seen the MetO print a definitive statement on conditions, when looking at the longer range outlook... They use terminology such as 'signals', and lets be honest, the folks posting in the model thread were saying exactly the same. So let's not single out the MetO?!
  17. A warning out. It does say the dreaded "thundery rain" however, it does mention lightning as well, so it is relevant to the thread.
  18. Had a few showers this morning, one was a torrential downpour. A further 3.8mm falling. 26mm is the last 24 hours or so. July stands at 59mm. Temp: 16°C - Hum: 82% - Dew: 12.9°C - Bar: 1007.21hPa - Wind: SW @ 6mph.
  19. Well I didn't expect that! We had some proper deluges here. 23mm has fallen.
  20. Almost 4 times more rain here today, than the rain from storms on Tuesday. lol
