London and South East Regional Discussion - 20th January 2013 13:00hrs>

Innit tho? It seems the Medway shield has only given in slightly! Not enough to go sledging or build a decent snowman, it's like it's teasing us! Ahhhhh, if only we could have the legendary Thames streamer of 2009/2010.- 892 replies

Just been out to measure. 5.5cm. It looks deeper than that. Sadly not deep enough for snowmen or proper snow play- 892 replies

Latest forecast on the BBC says about 3cm for our area. Meh. Still will be happy to see some snow. -

Thanks for the map Surrey. And Tom, my depth is 0cm. I'm not going to count a mild dusting as any depth whatsoever.- 1,325 replies

Just been up the road to Gravesend and although their snow on the ground is light, it is is considerably much more than ours, with only a 4 mile difference. Dandruff snow here.- 777 replies

It's seemingly an all weather shield if the last year is to go by, all weather that is other than bland gray, no weather days.
-
Am I reading the things wrong? I am getting that Medway is also likely miss the Sunday snow?
-
Cannot believe how screwed over the Medway Towns has been this year. None of the thunderstorms, boiling heat or snow that we were supposed to beat every other area at!
-
Me too. We've had snow, but literally no more than a dusting, not even enough to cover the pavements. Considering what we were looking at this morning, it's really disappointing.
-
Very little here in Rochester. Got sent home from T Wells in heavy snow and not even a mild covering here. Not impressed.
