  1. Wondering how many people with Aspergers/ASD we have here. Weather i apparently by far he most common 'obsession' for those with it. Obviously don't answer if you don't want to.

That's fine Lauren. I have twins, boy and girl. Boy has autism our girl hasn't. Both same environment, upbringing and even down to same food and drink. Identical lifestyles so I'm not sure how nurture would fit to our situation and our twins lives.

Nurture doesn't just mean the way someone is raised it also includes environment, illness, disease etc, basically anything non-genetic.

  2. Waiting in fr the gas man and I have had the misfortune of catching Jezza Kyle - surely these people cannot be real, surely there aren't this many......unfortunate.....people in the UK?

  3. I cannot believe the sexism I am seeing around the web a a woman being in the Top 3 FIFA goal of the year. That was a phenomenal goal, why does it matter if a woman scored it?

  4. So it appears some at work still don't get my dry sense of humour and I've had to resort to saying 'I'm joking' all the time, which kind of ruins humour....

  7. Not happy. There is a very small group of houses being built to the left of our close. I normally look out to very old, beautiful trees to my left. To my horror I come home from work to see they are being cut down to make room for the houses!

When I was doing Geography at school we were always told the UK population was static and would soon be decreasing, and that high birth rates/population growth was a 3rd world thing. That was 20 years ago. What the hell has happened?

I will be returning to Devon or away from the SE which is rather crowded/busy after uni. Maybe an idea Cheese but the problem with that for me is coming from a Devon village next to fields and a river, the countryside and coast etc, I don't think I could cope with living in flats or an inner city and be at all happy.

it's not that easy lass. In fact in my experience the guy just got ' pats on the back' and no one ever said anything about the fact he was cheating. One line of conversation i over heard, which shouldn't have happened was greeted with a laugh rather than a scornful telling off. people just seemed to except it.

Apologies Lauren, that was a bit insensitive of me, yes the community centres are good, my last shrink at the cmht trusted and believed in me and got my drivers license back, however ive been a patient in 5 mhu's in hertfordshire and only 1 did i feel 'im getting better in here'. But in their defence they are probably understaffed and underpaid for a 'not great' job.

    4. Lauren

      Lauren

They are mickey. Unfortunately in those working conditions, sometimes bedside manner can go out the window, like most hospitals really. There really is a huge difference in MHU's which have better funding. Mental Health is woefully and dangerously underfunded and staff shockingly paid. Most people are completely shocked when they learn how much I earn! Glad to hear you are better :)

  11. I really try not to body shame, but for the last 3 hours the two morbidly obese colleagues next to me have been going on about how they need to lose weight and wondering why they are fat. Perhaps the 2 family sized bags of crisps, bag of sweets and 2 kingsize chocolate bars you've just worked your way through might be a clue. I mean fine if you want to be like that, but quit moaning about it to me when it's really bloody obvious.

Thanks Lauren! The constant hunger was a pain at first but I think my body has just got used to it now. No snacks, no sweets, no fizzy drinks, rarely drinking alcohol - that's half the battle won right there. I'm in no immediate rush to lose weight so I'm fairly laid back about it :)
