  1. Joe Snow A similar May to last year would be great. That was a nice prolonged dry and settled spell that set in during May through to early June, pleasant temps by day and still cool enough at night for sleeping.
  2. Lovely sunny sky now after the earlier deluge, nothing else shown to be incoming on the radar yet, but presumably showers will develop as the day progresses.
  3. Absolutely belting it down with rain here this morning. It's relentless. However, I can just see it now, when we finally get a prolonged dry spell, they'll be talking about the possibility of hose pipe bans a couple of weeks in!
  4. The temperature reached 17.7C here this afternoon, a mix of cloud and sunny breaks for most of the day, but I think the weather gods have decided we must be missing the rain already as it's been lashing down for the past hour or so.
  5. A few showers today, but we missed the worst of them here, a mix of clouds and sun, reached 16.3C. Tomorrow looking like a good day for drying washing, if the showers can be dodged.
  6. It wasn't too bad here for the bulk of today, quite a bit of cloud cover but plenty of sunny breaks. Stayed dry until late afternoon, but some outbreaks of rain since with a damp end to the day.
  7. It ended up another fairly miserable day yesterday. Somewhat brghter skies this morning with occasional glimpses of sun so far, hopeful for a drier day today.
  8. A damp and dreary start here, although looking like it will dry up as the day goes on. The unsettled outlook continues and no sign of any prolonged dry spells in the reliable time frame.
  9. It's turned out to be a decent day here, sunshine this morning, cloudier skies this afternoon, but dry so far. The rain is edging ever closer from the South, things will probably turn damp in an hour or two, but at least the bulk of the day has been dry.
  10. A nice bright morning here with sunshine and variable cloud cover, much better than yesterday.
  11. A pretty miserable day here for the most part, rain at times until late afternoon. Briefly brightened up but now some hefty showers moving through, not electrified unfortunately.
  12. A damp and dreary morning here, complete contrast to the previous two mornings. At least we managed to get some decent weather on Saturday and Sunday.
  13. A largely sunny morning here, but clouded in by lunchtime and remained rather cloudy throughout the afternoon. Certainly felt a little chilly without the sun and a stiff breeze this afternoon, max temperature 12.6C.
  14. It's been another nice morning here with plenty of sunny periods, although more cloud has now bubbled up. It's a shame the forecast for tomorrow has changed with a rather damp day now looking likely.
  15. Well, a day of painting walls and ceiling has reminded me why I never took up painting and decorating as a career Glorious weather today, shame I've been stuck inside, but jobs won't do themselves unfortunately.
  16. Yes, a glorious start to the day here too and shaping up to be a decent couple of days ahead. Good timing for the bulk of the bank holiday weekend. @iand61Not a single clog in in sight for me this weekend, but I'll do my best to participate in the beer consumption later after a day of decorating
  17. No thunder here this afternoon, but one or two hefty showers. Things drying up a bit as we head onwards through the bank holiday weekend by the looks of it.
  18. Not too bad a start to the bank holiday weekend, sunny intervals since this morning and just a single shower around mid morning. We had quite a deluge yesterday evening, and the first rumble of thunder this year. It was proper monsoon style rain.
  19. Rain in the early hours here, but it's now dry with sunny skies. I think the rain has cleared through quicker than expected, should be a reasonable day.
  20. A monumental cloud burst here around an hour ago, some sleet mixed in, left areas of standing water. Brighter skies again now.
  21. A better day today, overcast, but still dry at the moment, the rain nudging up from the South.
  22. We've been sat under a narrow line of showers continually feeding from the Irish Sea all morning, some really blustery with hail lashing against the window at times. No mention of these showers on the metoffice forecast, although they do look to have been confined to this part of the region. They do look to have moved through now with sunny spells.
  23. At least it's not continuous rain, some decent sunny breaks between the showers. Now got hail lashing against the window.
  24. cheshire snow Yes, a regular feed of blustery showers. This would potentially have been a nice setup a month or two ago. It's just going to make for a bit of a rotten day today.
