Evening gang ,something interesting on our friend the GFS ,going for snow , or is it another path to doom .I Wish you all a great christmas ,a safe christmas ,everything in Moderation, we had sausage baps last night which hit the spot, no moderation there , im cooking a medium sized turkey tomorrow, stuffed breast of lamb ,boiled ham ,and my pigs in blankets ,loads of mixed vegetables, extra for bubble and squeak with pickles and meats for the nxt couple of days .Wonder If tonights ECM will tease us with a wonder 10 day chart , tonights Gfs charts will probably give us a beast from the east in about 12 days time ,ok from a mild somerset wish you all well ,STELLA'S on me ,cheers legritter.

Been lurking but reading with interest today ,think tomorrow most models will not only correct south a little ,but bring in colder 850s by late sunday ish ,then the fun can start . Can i back up my thoughts, well probably years of weather watching ,reading between the lines and occasionally in recent years following the Professionals, not too far ahead of course ,have a read ,The uk to me lookes primed for action weather .cheers gang ,whoever gets the snow enjoy and share with a photo .been on a diet today ,tomorrow the full monty ,Sausage baps brown sauce, and a Stella up the wood shed ,after an epic Ecm run .

[Model Output Discussion - Winter arrives]

Good evening Gang, been a bit of a lurker lately but enjoying the forum and the wintry discussions. Milder spell incoming , Atlantic losing its vigour , big fat high taking control and hanging around for quite a while. Then the high will tease us ,or should i say the Models will , does the high move north, east ,west or hang around over the christmas period then get that sinking feeling and move away south to allow the Atlantic in once more . Many of us know that any long range forecast of past 14 days can change overnight ,thats why even our professionals have to write a new forecast on most days ,i would say the 10 day forecast as improved significantly over the past years  But 15days plus up to a month ,very tough even for a super computer .A couple of days ago the GFS ,at 384 hrs was showing pressure of 980 mb  east of iceland ,the following run 1036 mb ,thats huge difference, so nice to read professional Lrf ,but not to be taken tòo seriously, Except when its showing Beast from the East of course .Tomorrow up the Woodshed your all invited ,grilled sausages in large baps ,a selection of sauces and pickles and STEllas ,right lets see what GFS is offering ,take care all .

EVening gang , Yes its crispy sausage in bap time and a Stella and of course brown sauce .Very exciting charts ,so at day 6 i think its a low of around 954mb ,that warrants a COBRA meeting at the met office woodshed with sausage baps for sure . Back to reality (whats that ) its a week away so we need to see if its still modelled come thursday evening .I for one will be watching developments over russia and Scandinavia, as this could affect the patern further west over our shores .one thing im sure about is that over the coming weeks we could see some Newsworthy weather related headlines for western and north western europe including the Uk .Theres some seriouse cold building ,lets hope we can get some snow down to low levels even in the south pretty soon , GFS starting soon on its late evening roll-out, ecm in the morning .Just a reminder to all ,our winter starts at midnight and ends on march the 1st SO  thats equates to roughly ,364 gfs runs and 182 ecm runs ,so plenty of Garden paths ,toys out the prams, lamp post watching ,dreaming ,i say bring it on ,cheers gang ,we have the best forum around , . 

[Autumn 2021 - Moans, Ramps & Chat]

Hi gang ,would be nice to see some action weather .I am a true coldie ,still about a week or so till start of Meteorological winter so im sure that many of us will see at least a dozen flakes or so , (blizzards, lake effect snow ,510 damm line or lower ,walking from Southampton to Isle of white on thick sea ice , polar bears reported on the isle of man ) .no guarantee of course ,but if it all comes off i will provide free SAUSAGE BAPS ,leave your skis in the front porch ,please put a mask on untill seated, i said free sausage baps , i even provide all sorts of sauces and even fried onions if needed ,weĺl gang its goodnight from me and goodnight from my sausage dog named STella ,cheers to you all .

Great to pop in ,I look in most days for a good read .Im very excited with  the charts on offer , but i have a fear of Anticyclones that sit to our west and northwest especially in medium and longer range charts .I get a fear that at some point they will Collapse ,SINKER , do a runner into Europe, or pump scud filled skys with gloom all over the land .i cant post any charts tonight as i have greasy hands ,I've just made sausage baps for 172 posters and run out of brown sauce ,great to see  so many on here tonight .Well it will be great if we are starting to see a possible real cold spell ,but we must keep our feet on the ground ,thanks again to all that post charts and data etc , its a real help to me these days ,cheers gang ,Stella's on me .

 Evening Gang, just thought I'd pop in and say hello posters .great reading the posts on the top weather forum .it seems we're all waiting for Winter ,well thats what most of us crave even in mid july ,there seems to be a lack of action weather in our part of the globe, I'll consult my lodgers up the woodshed tomorrow and  see how many Nuts are buried ,and may get out the sausages Baps and brown sauce .well gang hope all of us are ready for winter ,10 day charts ,razor blades ,toys out the pram ,prozack ,old farmers almanac, 1947 ,1963 ,2010 ,1739/40 .gfs dartboard lows ,Ecm 10 dayer ,leg ,sausage baps , Squirrel gallery ,cheers all and thanks for all those who contribute to our very intellectual and top weather forum .

hi gang ,great posts on the best weather forum around .i can feel a big chill in my water !!!! ,possibility of the advance guard of winter arriving early November .The climate change conference in Glasgow kicks off in early november ,i can see the headlines now   ,early freak wintry weather greats world leaders in Glasgow ,just a thought i know but quite possible even with human made temperature rises .Just got back from my wood shed ,Squirrels are running around chattering  something about a net weather melt down coming . just cooking Sausages ,BAPS ARE BUTTERED ,daddies sauce ready ,take care all and cheers to all posters .

Hi Gang ,upcoming winter i feel could be an interesting period .I will be looking out for extremes not just in the UK  But across the whole northern hemisphere. Just one maybe two falls of snow at moderate level   say 13 to 15 cm each ,on the ground for a week each would be a good outcome for this winter .as i said in another post recently i was hoping for 46/47 .. 62/63 ,but thinking about it  dont think it would go down very well ,hardship for many many , Im not taking much notice of Long range forecasts at the moment . Cutting down on sausage baps and Stella's,  but may indulge tomorrow ,cheers gang, great forum .

Hi gang ,not posting much lately but i have been lurking in the shadows .my early thoughts for this upcoming winter are , apart from sausage baps etc etc ,im expecting a very mixed up winter in our part of the world .I wont get too man made climate doomer ,i was always a bit of a non believer ,but after some thought and reading and research and looking at the total population of our planet ,yes we are warming up the planet .But even given this , the earth still tilts its axis ,polar vortex keeps us guessing, long range forecasts still go wrong ,whatever happens im sure it will keep us on our toes gang .im hoping we see the advance guard of winter in November, with some flurries of snow ,then alternating mild and cold spells till the second week of January, then let the fun begin ,Biting winds from the east and north east , ice flows in the channel with people trying to cross from france to uk Walking , More snow than 46 /47 winter and happy Net weather posters ,take care all, cheers Legritter .

[South West and Central Southern England Regional Weather Discussion 08 Feb 2021 Onward]

Brilliant day today for tidying up my vegetable garden, quite a few ladybird s about ,saw a couple of young slow worms tucked up under a pile of rhubarb leaves ,there were several large adults about back in early summer ,nice to see .I did do a runner when mid afternoon a sudden cloud burst of atleast 4 spots sent me running for cover , theres more spots on the ladybird s around here , cheers gang ..

Hi gang ,i am around lurking and feeling good .Its always good to catch up with all your posts , i must admit i hate the cool weather this time of year .Looking at the charts well 10 days ahead as we do , i would guess high pressure dominated ,and could be heading warm at last .I've been on a bit of a diet lately ,but still have a treat of a Sausage Bap with brown sauce , if the sun shines enough to bring out the BBQ i have Belly of Pork nice n crispy with Branston . Hi gang ,thought I'd pop in for a chat ,charts still looking cool ,especially early mornings  .It was great to sit in the  garden today in lovely sunshine ,not one contrail in sight, looking at todays charts theres not much rain to be had ,but still a possibility nxt week for isolated hvy showers .Iv cut down on my Sausage Baps  ,trying to lose weight ,but hey gang todays baps are extra special ,wild boar sausage, with branston on one daddies on the other ,cheers STELLA'S all round .
