  1. This nagging wind as got a cold edge to it ,but hope for a mini pork pie sorry heatwave soon , Melton pork pies on the menu tonight with some ploughmans pickle Scotch egg new potatoes and mixed salad , lets hope its bbq weather this weekend for many .

I,v a nice piece of belly of pork going in oven for tonight ,loads of crackling and home made scollops .spotted dick for pudding ,cant have any Snow so a few home comforts ,i can wait till March for blizzards and record snowfalls ,and enjoy the snow with the sun shinning followed by a BBQ summer then the winter from hell next year ,Might get a few Baps out the freezer plus some ploughmans pickle from our local supermarket ,cheers gang .

  3. Its dank and drizzly today was hoping for a bit of sun to get some digging in .so off out with the dog then a nice Bap on our return ,sausage bap with pickle ,but only one as tonight we have roast pork and i might even have a nice thatchers ,cheers all .

  4. going to get the M4 corridor moved south by 50 miles ,and rebuilding the house another 300 metres higher ,damn this rain sleet give me SNOW PLEASE

      I hate it when people have to resort to using CAPITALS! I agree though, move the M4 to North of Watford, or do I mean South of Bishop's Stortford? or Ordfordness? Whatever, if Carlsberg made snowstorms we'd get a dumping.

  5. Taking my elderly mother in law for a quick spin around country lanes for a change of scenary then back home and sit in the sun with a nice bowl of soup for mum and a nice sausage Bap for me ,dog gets the scraps ,then tonight i,m going to try sleeping up the summer house and hopefully catch a few flashy storms with my new camera ,cheers all .

I realy fancied a sausage Bap tonight but no sausages ,so finished up with tuna and mayonaise and a packet of crisps , cant complain as i did have a pub meal early afternoon on the way home from work .Stuffed belly of pork with all the roast trimmings . time for a bit of exercise with the dog and its nearly dark at 9pm when will summer proper arrive . just cant believe some of the bluebells are still flowering but only in patches .

      I post on other weather sites and rarely do I see food discuss as much on this site, that's my observation. The NW regional thread was more like a gourmet forum than a weather site earlier this year!

  7. Well its my birthday today so i,m having a nice roast pork meal later ,nice bit of crackling ,great day here just had a rumble of thunder . Happy birthday to all other posters celebrating today ,no baps in the bread bin but bread to soak up the gravy tonight ,cheers all .

  8. thought i would give an update ,i,v been on a diet for several months ,lost over a stone ,about 7 kilos roughly .

    But today i,m having roast pork with all the trimmings , its my piggy day ,last week on piggy day i had two lots of sausage baps ,i look forward to my piggy day , at least it works ,cheers for now gang ,may northern blocking blossom this winter .:yahoo:

      Yes my pig days are good ,it keeps me focused on my other healthy days ,I knew i had to knuckle down with a  change of diet but doctor also pointed me in that direction , mostly a vegetable day today plus fruit .But tonight as a treat big cheese and onion bap with crisps , what a mucky day misty wet ,bring on some Arctic air ,cheers :cold:

  9. no outside work today so i,v prepared i nice fish meal with tomatoes and going to have a jacket potatoe all good for my Diet .but my wife just informed me she had two Ham and pickle Baps over mums today ,Baps baps but being sensible i,ll wait till sunday when i can have a treat as 4 have just gone in bread bin , i will resist temptation till then ,off out with the hound its blowing a bit and pouring down cheers .

  10. The sun as just gone behind a bank of cloud ,some very hvy spots of rain but still warm ,brilliant spell of weather lets hope it comes back soon . off to do some digging then at 1pm a light meal probably soup with a bap or two ,cheers gang .

  11. outside painting the fences today ,lovely sun clear sky .a couple of bumble bees darting about to good to believe i,m going to enjoy it before late february and March brings us smothering snows and gridlock at the airports ,one can dream ,not a Bap in sight and Diet doing well ,give me a Bap anyday but one as to be sensible cheers .

Still losing weight on my diet so thought i would treat myself tonight .Those Baps my wife put in the bread bin have come out and margarine spread thinly over ,nice pork sausages, one Bap with pickle one Bap with brown sauce and one sausage for the dog ,going to walk it off in the minute taking the dog out for his evening stroll .If we ever get a new dog i may call it Bapper but wont be calling that out loud late at night ,cheers all .

  13. well a day with snow falling although on the wet side, now thunder with the dog lifting his head ,he,s already had his walk .No Baps today but toad in the hole which went down a treat ,and the dog had a couple of sausages after sat with his tongue half out for ages ,perhaps some Baps tomorrow after a long walk ,cheers .

      yes a line of showers crossed mendip area about 45 mins ago ,bright flashes roll on the spring and summer lets hope we get some good ones .

  14. Ran out of Baps today ,sausage sandwich in brown bread with ploughmans pickle ,off out tonight looking at local street lamps hoping for a flake or two ,before next weeks big dump .cheers .

STellas at the ready BBQS dusted off , just got the fan out the spare bedroom all working ok .Internet full of frightening storms about to hit ,will the roof go up on wimbledon will Andy cope with record heat ,sit down all relax pour a stella defrost some Baps and get the sausages in the pan .well i,m glad my shifts next week are early week ,take care all ,cheers .

Off on holiday tomorrow ,very cheap coach and hotel holiday in Italy .going to prepare Baps tonight for coach tomorrow and ferry as ferry food can be expensive , got some pork pies and chicken drumsticks as well .then we can look forward to some italian food on sunday ,i,m pretty sure Baps will not be on the menu .but may get some Baps for return journey ,cheers all you bappers out there .

  19. No work today so doing a bit of gardening ,just had a look at weather charts and certainly potential for some posters to catch a real good storm later this evening . Eating outside tonight but knives and forks and all other metal objects to be put away before any storm breaks out . rotary washline put away and bottom of chimney sealed just in case it comes down the chimney , my neighbour wares three pairs of socks and the dogs tail his taped down as he as a metal pin running down it ,enjoy ga...

Dark dank and Depressing hvy rain forecast for most of today, I feel like a nice Bap but will resist temptation instead preparing a nice roast pork meal with plenty of vegetables and drink loads of water so i dont pig out on bread to soak up the gravy .i,m now keeping fingers crossed for a cold snowy march to get some curtain peering and lamp post watching in ,Isee a Lamp post in a different light than my Dog ,he certainly does not respect our local lamp posts , cheers .

  21. I,v had Man flu last couple of days ,but feeling ready for my first proper food .My wife as just offered to go down local stores for some Baps and slices of ham ,that with some ploughmans pickle and a bowl of soup should cheer me up . I,m hoping for some snow showers next week in the heavier bursts of wintry precipitation ,right Baps here i come cheers .

      mostly packs of 6 or 12 and quite often our local store reduces Baps at the end of day ,even crusty baps freeze well but you need to defrost well ,then in oven very quickly .

  22. Thoughts now of high pressure to our north with biting easterly winds lashings of snow and the sea freezing around our coasts ,so time to stock up on Baps and tins of soup we can all live in hope gang .

  23. morning all ,had the biggest house spider i,v ever seen in the house last night ,sat on top of the spare toilet rolls in our bathroom . Placed an empty can over it and put it in the garden ,shiver me timbers it was that big it set off the security lighting unless it was my arm sticking out .No Baps today as i,v got to loose some weight ,plenty of veg and a small half chicken for this evening perhaps some fruit for mid day , then perhaps a nice bacon Bap with some pickle tomorrow as a treat ,c...

Just taken my 93 yr old mother inlaw for a nice ride out ,lovely drop of sun she enjoyed her day . what a lovely lady very poorly but still manages to read the papers and tell me all the weather news , Baps have taken a bit of a back seat lately but still manage the odd one . fresh runner beans tonight potatoes carrots and some pork chops , cheers .

Bang goes the Gardening today with the Hvy rain ,the dog looking at me for a walk, Later boy.Baps been out freezer long enough now, sausages and bacon going under grill soon . still losing weight even with all these Baps just going carefull other times . Well any one seeing snow over coming week will be lucky ones i think ,but still time If we can get some good blocking set up in right position ,cheers all .
