    Amazing GFS run so far, what I love is the way the HP cells link up with each other later on to perform a stronger cell of high pressure, and any low pressure is far away from Western Europe

    What a beautiful GFS 18Z, heat being pumped up endlessly from N Africa giving Spain and France some extreme heat and the SE is hot too, still not to be taken as gospel but exciting potential shown tonight.

    20c and mostly sunny, getting dry around here too and rain tomorrow looks light, then more low 20s and partly cloudy to come, not a bad June thus far.

    Beautiful morning out there today, with a current temperature of 21.9C and mostly sunny skies. The breeze continues, but at this temperature, it is far less of a nuisance than at 16C for example, and isn't affecting the warm feel out there.

    Foehn/Mistral affect hitting the Côte d'azur, Nice went from 12C to 22c in just one hour.

    2015 starts where 2014 left off, some incredibly mild temperatures on the French Mediterranean Coast forecasted this week-end, the average maximum temperature of Perpignan for example is 12.4C, but is already sitting at 16C so far, with low 20s forecasted this week-end, January 2007 record may be challenged at least if this continues.

    Southern France has had a very warm last three months relative to the average, with September, October and now November all having been well above average months, looking like a warm year overall, despite the cool summer (especially July & August) there.
