Some consolation to us skiers is that the mountains might get a good pasting over the next 10 days. At least if we can get a decent last half of the ski season it would make up for the lack of lowland snow.
Planning Outlook
All mountain areas of Britain from Friday 5th February 2016
Unsettled over the next 10 days to a fortnight, and generally cold on the mountains. Later in next week, incoming low pressure systems may well track further south than recent times. A cold front passes south-east during this Friday, and from then on, freezing levels will often be around 750m even as far south as Wales - and often lower on the Scottish Highlands. Snowfall is likely to be considerable and may well consolidate as far south as higher areas of south Wales.
