  1. Looks a little further west compared to the forcast and GFS?
  2. It's mostly snow. On the net weather radar. Edit the band in southern Scotland sorry.
  3. The Gfs has us down for a max of 10c about now. I reckon we will get some snow but settling snow is another matter. We shall see
  4. Might be better if the front moves in during the night may be slightly cooler which could tip you the right side of marginal??
  5. Hi Im not a regular poster, but as the jet dives south right over the U.K, wouldn't that aid in the diversion of low pressure south under any block to the east? Thanks in advance
  6. absolutley tonking it down with snow massive flakes its sticking on the cars
  7. just went through the 18z GFS and the upper air temps actually get cloder as we go through the night from hovering around 0 down to -4 in a few hrs i think other factors suchas dew points and air temps will counteract this drop in uppers but still it may get us a bit longer
  8. snowing very heavily here lots of snow accumlating, shame it going to thaw before its useful for the kids
  9. Just watched the latest BBC uk Forcast what a load of s**t its like we dont exist. Do they not look at radar and weather station obsevations before they forcast???
  10. Loads of snow here in st rainford st helens still coming down as well
  11. Much better than last winter for here, no snow except a half hours worth in december 2011 that melted before it hit the floor, this year four days with lying snow and snow on each of those days albeit very light on two of them. But yeh a poor winter given the synoptics, ie strat warming, sea surface temps, ice melt etc
