The March 2013 snowfall was just as memorable, not least because it nipped in the bud this ridiculous notion that, once mid-February is passed, it becomes virtually impossible for snow to remain on the ground for any length of time due to the power of the sun. Utter tripe, but it was wheeled out with tiresome predictability by the usual suspects in the Model Discussion thread.
